Title: Beep beeps Post by: Arkansashunter96 on September 01, 2023, 11:30:42 pm Picked up a clean telemetry system and collar a few weeks ago and would like one more collar. Which one was the most sought after. Think my collar is a 216 frequency

I don’t that there is a better one between the two. As far as I could ever tell they were the same. I don’t know why brand you picked up but mine was a wildlife.

They sit around gathering dust since the garmins came out. I still put the collars on the dogs sometimes but haven't used the box in years.
You should be able to get collars pretty cheap. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk Title: Re: Beep beeps Post by: cajunl on September 02, 2023, 06:53:48 am Mine is 217 freq. That was the most common in these parts

The older I get the worse this anytimers gets. Anytime I try and remember something from yesterday or yesteryear it’s like bad cell phone reception, the memory just cuts in and out. Heaven forbid I “hang up” and wait until I get better reception!

You have a garmin also and this is your backup or you this is your main system? The telemetry systems are pretty bullet proof. Title: Re: Beep beeps Post by: Reuben on September 04, 2023, 11:02:43 am It took me a couple years while using my Garmin before I stopped using my Wildlife Telemetry in tandem …it’s not 100 percent foolproof but good enough for me to take my chances…
Title: Re: Beep beeps Post by: Arkansashunter96 on September 05, 2023, 09:01:32 pm Thanks Cajun and it’s my backup. My garmins worked great but a few times. and when it number 2s the bed it sucks. It just needed a update most times. Definitely glad to have another means.

I have never left a dog in the woods that was wearing one while Garmin has let me down several times. I normally have the tag a long beep beep or telemetry colors on my Garmin collar. Garmins are great but sooner or later they will fail.
Title: Re: Beep beeps Post by: Arkansashunter96 on September 06, 2023, 10:33:02 am I seen where I can send off some of the ones I have and get them turned into the tag along style. I may be able to get the freq. changed while they’re at it. Hey guys while I got y’all what is a tree switch?
