went this morning i got stud up by a buddy so i went by myself and the good went bad real fast i bought a RCD from a guy on here that doesnt know the meaning of catch so it was left up to Ruby and my other cur Wizzer they caught this boar that went 290 pounds and they rolled out after i stuck him and Ruby struck big boy this hog was huge but soon as the RCD got there and went to baying again Ruby did her normal thing and caught but was to much to handle for her and wizzer and the boar cut her bad so i ran in and snached Ruby up and hauled butt to the vet where she is in major surgery as i type this maybe she will pull through but she has struck her last pig in the woods.. Good hog! Sorry to hear about your dog. She has been producing alot of hogs for you lately. Thats a bad deal.

Real good hog!! BUt sorry to hear that bout the dog, unfortunately theres people out there that do that kind of stuff. The same thing happened to me not to long ago when i paid a bunch for a supposily a solid catchdog and it bayed and my main strike dog ive had for over 5 years got cut real bad.. Hope your dog pulls through..

Who is the dog trading hole in the butt, I hate people who dont cull. Sorry about your dog, I have hunted with a 3 legged strike dog and he was Great, however it was his front leg. That number 2 is not even about the $ you pay for the dog its b/c of stories like this that lying daddy didn't marry mommy really costs you. Sorry Grant

sorry to hear bout your dog getting hurt, but glad she pulled through.  maybe you could get some pups from her if she cant hunt, just a thought.  hopefully she will heal up & be fine w/ a little time.

Jimmy i set there for a good minute and a half and watched this i would say he went 400 he is the same one that killed my silent walker three weeks ago!!! I wasnt supposed to be alone one of my buddies stood me up!!

Rowdy sorry to hear about Ruby.  Nice hog and hope you get another cd to go back and get that big sucker.  He deserves it after puttin down 2 of your dogs.

sorry to hear that rowdy, my father in law had a 3 legged dog that had a back leg shot off that he still hunted and it did well, might see if she can still go after she heals up, just a thought.

You are welcome Rowdy, not your fault bud.  I knew how tough she was, seen it many times on big hogs.  If things started to get hairy she would jump in and lend a hand(er mouth) ;D  Glad you got to hunt behind her, hard to find a dog with more bottomn than Ruby. ;)  Guess we are even now, I got one of my best catch dogs ever from ya.  Ol Meaty and Ruby would have made one helluva team!

Thats no joke i sure hope she will come in heat one of these days i have a 4 month old foundation bred registered male coming this week out of south Texas just for her

Dang sorry to hear about Ruby!! I tell you what though...one of my neighbors dogs has a back leg missing and I have personally witnessed her outrun my 45lb border collie before!! and my border collie is far from slow!

I don't think its always people being dishonest.  A lot of them honestly think their Chit-eaters are good.  They don't know any better.

Hey guys im Chance Brown and im 15 years old and i am a freshman at perrin high school. Ive been hoghunting and breeding my own dogs for about two years and my buddy Micah Beck got me started hoghunting and love to hoghunt and raise dogs and use them and breed them for myself but occasionally i get some i sell to a few people. but now the thing i find the most fun has got me into some trouble because i told Rowdy about a pit catahoula cross that has never missed in the woods and here a couple weeks ago helped catch a 400 pound hog and was right there on the ear. well i didnt lie to Rowdy and i even told him that if he brought the dog back we would pay him his money back for him and move on down the road but i guess he cant do that. i never lied to him and i wouldnt have sold him a dog that i would not use myself. but when i was 13 i did learn that you dont take a dog that you bought the day before and hunt him with dogs he is not familiar with and a person he doesnt even know. but i guess some people dont know any better and if its gonna be this much trouble ill just get off of this website for good and sell to the 25 happy return customers i have. thanks for reading

Chance it was friday when i bought him and a finished catchdog will catch no matter what all he did was go in and bay i have been bunting for a long time and this is not the only junk dog i have bought nor a few more people on here have been burned by you also i have many pm s to prove that the reason the dog was not returned is i culled him on the spot like he should have been done long before i come to buy him and if he caught a 400 pounder where is the pictures to prove it!!!  I wouldnt be mad except it cost me my best dog i have ever owned in my life because of a flatt out lie  im through doing business and talking to you so good luck selling your dogs!!

ok. just so you know i have never sold a finshed dog to you or anyone else. i have only sold pups with no gaurntee and i wouldnt sell you another dog if i had to. and im sorry about your dog. but it wasnt my fault. the dog had served his purpose here and never messed up or i wouldnt had sold him. and a lot of people are happy with dogs out of my blood. but just so you know that dog wasnt mine and i didnt lie. you can ask several people that have seen him flat out catch on any pig even a 400 pounder. but say whatever you want to say. but my dad and micah arent happy about you threating to whip my a@@ and they said if you do it again there will be trouble.

Sorry to hear about your female.  That is a good hog you took pics of.  Hunting alone seems to always go South quick.  Hopefully, your female comes around with a little time on the IR.

 I wouldnt place the blame solely on the RCD for the other dog getting hurt. I have read some of your post about Ruby and it sounded like she was a little on rough side. That could have happened anytime.

Dont take it the wrong way. It is a bad deal and I would deffinatly be upset but it might have happened if you still had your catchdog.

Rowdy, man that sux about Ruby.  She sounds like a great dog.  You can't count  a dog like that out, she may be back on all 4 wheels tomorrow.  I would be sure to personally thank the guy that sold you the dog, and your buddy for not showing up.  Good luck with the recovery, I hope to hear more stories of Ruby in the future

In my opinion a dog sold as a started catch dog that has caught a few hogs including a 400lb one (finished cd or not) that will not catch or ESPECIALLY not help catch after a cur catches is a real bad deal and should be frowned up on by everyone on this board. CULL! With that said I know what you mean is it can happen to any hog dog any day, especially a rough one but that is not the case so has no room for discussion because argueing hypothetical points is a waste of time. .02
