The proposed new rule would implement provisions required or authorized under Senate Bill 2801, enacted during the Regular Session of the 89th Texas Legislature, which amended the Parks and Wildlife Code by adding new Chapter 43, Subchapter J, to create a field trial permit allowing the pursuit of squirrels, furbearing animals, and nongame wildlife on privately owned land or public lands identified by commission rule.
