Title: 2 yo Brindle Cur Post by: matt_aggie04 on November 16, 2009, 03:18:54 pm Smokey is a 2yo cur dog that I got last spring and I have hunted and enjoyed owning but I have a female that I am about to start after deer season and I am getting down to smaller group of dogs since I am moving. He is no perfect dog but he is a good young dog that I feel if hunted regularly could make a great dog. He has not been hunted alot at night and I don't see him hunting out as far at night but in sign he will go and he has showed to have pretty good bottom. When I first started hunting him he would catch and was hard to make leave the hog but since he has bayed really well and once the hog is caught will leave it alone. I believe if he was run with rough dogs he would fall right back into catching though. When he catches he catches hard. Has not messed with deer or cows in 4-6 months but will get on a skunk if another dog will help. I paid $400 for him in the spring and I would like that for him now. I feel like there is a lot of potential in this dog.

I would have to find out from Levon who the momma is but the dad was some dog from up around the Grapevine area named "Clinton" I beleive. Hope that answered your question.
