yea, it was pretty chilly last night too, when my buddy had to swim the tank to get his cd. lol

They are calling for a wet snow here tonight!

Ouch! the rain/snow should be gone by noon tomorrow (in mckinney) then perfect hunting weather!

i love it fixn to go load the dogs and catch momma some pork.

SNOW here this morning, I am headed to Coleman tomorrow to pick up some horses and make a hunt.....

I don't know what ya"ll have heard but ranchers around hear say its going to be a rough winter. The acorns and pecans are about gone here so with a hard winter the hogs ought to be out and about looking for food. So it might be good hog hunting for us here in wharton.

NO ACORNS, NO WILD PLUMS.....in my country. Very late freeze this spring. We have had hogs eating cotton and ranging all over, they are in good shape, but they are going to have to stay on the food sourses. Should be great hunting this winter.

I'm just going to have to figure what food source there on now, prolly just hit the deer feeders. I'm not going to like chasing hogs in cold weather but if I wanna catch them then I better suck it up and roll with the dogs lol.

Cold and Wet is all I see on the 10 day.  :(

Matt We huntin in the snow friday I'm Game!!!

I'm off, what the heck, I missed the snow hunt last year  ;D  When I see weather like that and I think about hunting I think about sleeping till abut 7 or 8 eating a good breakfast and hunt from about 10-4 and call it a day haha  No since in getting all excited about hunting at daylight.  We hunted once in Centerville with Chris a few years back and it was 17 degrees on my overhead console when we turned out!  Cought a hog in a dry creek and you couldn't see anything for all the steam from the dogs, it was pretty crazy!

bring it on i have been cutting wood for a week.

we have had a fire going for the last few days, shure feals good

I have a buddy that has a fireplace like that and it burns corn, puts out a bunch of heat too.

33 degrees and snow mixed with rain in Gainesville this morning. 

windy then hell here today supposed to go hunt to night down south put the wind is blowing about 50 right now hope it lays by this evening o well if it dont i guess i will be hunting in the wind

   
Well I only got to hunt in true snow once!!! WE were hunting in palmetto country we were on horses and them dogs would bay!! The hogs would stand up and snow would shake and fly off them palmettos smoke comeing off ever bark!!If the hog broke you could see them runnig through the palmettos and snow shakeing and break them down on a horse!! We caught 28 that day!! If it ever snows like that again I don't care if the presdent  of the united states want to meet with me he's going to have to wait until I'm done huntin!!!

Sounds like a cool thing to see! I've only seen real snow falling once when I spent a some time in Montana with family and I believe a storm rolled in or something but it snowed enough for me to get outside and run around (In shorts of course). Also got to go to the Hoover dam and Emerald lake, it was very interesting! I was sleeping in the back of my uncles truck and I was awaken by him shooting a porcupine with his .45! I was tripping out that you could stop on the road & start shooting at a porcupine! He said they're a nuisance and judging by the porcupine thread I would shoot them 2.

I hunted in the snow once... last year, it was a good time. It started right before we turned out and I think 4 to 6 inches fell that night. This was just east of Houston, so y'all know snow is a rare thing down here... but they're calling for it Friday.

Seriously, I think its just people messing with him... He catches some great hogs, frequently.

We had a fella stir up a bunch of crap a while back... so everyone picks on him a little now. ;)

But that fella is no longer with us. :o

My dogs shiver when the fog rolls in! I think if I tried to run them in the snow they would need one of them masks Mike had on! As for LionBoarHunter and the monsters he pulls out with his pack I don't think anything I say to him could hurt his feelings.

no i think it is funny what people think somtimes i will be sittin here lookin at the things people write about my little toofys  and bust out laughing my wife just kinda looks at me like i am crazy the proofs in the pics alll the people that make fun of me are the ones that dont hav a big toofy pic

We were lucky, I thought he was going to wreck my pack. I am pretty sure he is the dog killer I had been hearing about in that area. Just glad I got him out of the woods.  Rumor has it, he was going into neighborhoods and eating pets and small children. That's why his teeth are so big,and yes, I did clean the teeth before the photos. ;)

Got 5 inches of snow in Callahan county.Friday is supposed to be bad,more snow,high lower 30s, lows upper teens.Might see 2-3 inches on thurs,with highs 39/43ish.Didnt get hardly any rain this summer,and it was hotter than normal.Guess we are getting it made up to us.Should be fun at the football game fri night. :'(

Well how much snow have you boys in the panhandle had today?  They are calling for 100% chance tomorrow here, kinda looking forward to it...

Just fluries here, snowed pretty good west of here, going to be 12 degrees in the morning......Ross, and Wes, and I will be hunting most of the weekend. I love this weather.
