Title: 12-20-08 2 hunts Post by: Txhoghunter on December 20, 2009, 07:44:03 pm I took some pups out this morning to a place I knew there was some hogs. Turned out and had a sow bayed before I unloaded the 4wheeler. Got her caught and went to the next one, bulldog caught, a guy legged it and I pulled cd off, hog got away from him and ran off :o I loaded up the pups and looked for d-man, he was .63 mi away treed on gps. Went to him and he had a shoat caught.
I met up with Kevin about noon. I saw some fresh rooting on one of my bosses places and one good track so I knew there was a good boar there somewhere. I took hollywood and june, he had stewball and big brown. Turned out and started around the hay patch. They found him pretty quick on the bank of the river...he was a rank sucker. I've still got 2 but that cross made the slowest maturing dogs I've ever seen. They work the heck out of a hog, but won't take their head out of their a$$ long enough to find one. Big ol puppys.
