Title: 1-30-10 Great Hunt (9 Hogs) w/ video Post by: Texas_Cur on January 31, 2010, 09:49:20 am Our usual crew of myself, Cull Buck, Courtney, Charles and Sticka Dan, invited Texas J and his girlfriend Jenny down to make a hunt near Rosharon on Saturday morning. We started off with our dogs on the ground first, and caught 2 boars and a sow in about an hour and a half. We picked our dogs up, and Texas J kicked his dogs out. They struck up a group of hogs and we managed to stay with the group for a couple of hours and picked off another 6 hogs. The catchdogs did good today, twice we had multiple hogs caught out at the bay. It was a great hunt, 9 hogs and no dogs hurt, Ill take that kind of hunt any day. Josh it was great hunting with you and your girlfriend, we will do it again real soon.

Deuce24, both of those white catchdogs are starting to show some promise but they have some holes in their game. Both have some good speed, but MClovin is definately the faster of the two. I would say he is as fast as an average cur with a his vest on. I got to watch him run down a 180-190 boar in some broken woods last weekend one out ;) and while he got whooped pretty good he held and we caught the hog. Yesterday evening we had all the hogs 300yards from the woods all bayed up in a big opening and if you would have been there you would have got some good filmin. I was trying a new AB that I just got and he hit a 200# sow doing about 40mph and knocked her over. It was awsome. We ended up catching 4 before they hit the woods. We all need to get together and make a hunt!!!! IM READY!!!!

LOL! :) Well all you have to do is bring your equipment and let me know. It is very wet down here right now but Im sure yall don't mind getting wet. After those hogs got in the woods, I think there was one high spot where a tree had fallen and they just all stood there will the dogs bayed. One of my buddies dogs ran in and tried to bit one and all the other hogs ran him back to us. LOL it was a good time. Wish I would have had it on vidio. I am going to get me one before the contest this year. I got tell ya tho,,that vidio and the pictures of yall havin fun are awsome.

Made for an exciting hunt. The bays were awesome to watch up close, the footage doesnt do it justuce. Once we get the HD camera, you will be seeing even better video. Right now we are limited on zoom power and are having to get extremely close to get decent footage. Hopefully Ill be pickin one up within the next week or so!
