Title: Shock systems..
Post by: Boar Collector on February 26, 2010, 08:22:43 am
I purchased a Tritronic classic EXP package last year and used it for a bit with no problems at all but I ended up selling it to my buddy after I thought I no longer needed it. Has anyone ever used any different brand other than Tritronic.? Is there anything out there that's just as good or better? I saw the Dogtra on GCPS but I know nothing about them..

i have a Dogtra and love it.  i don't know if it compares to tritronics though.  However, i have nothing negative to say about it.

I caught a clearance at Bass Pro on the DT Systems, 2 dog H20 1800 series.  Met the specs of what I wanted and seems to be working good.  I liked the fact they are out of Dallas too.

I've used all 3 of the above training collars. I like tritronics the best JMO, But I don't have anything bad to say about the other two. I currently us the classic 70 three dog unit and love it.

I've used the Sportdog 2500 and the Sportdog 3200 hound hunter and I was impressed with both.  Good range and good power.

Blaine,
I use the sportdog Hound hunter 3200 and haven't had any problems with it so far.  Feel free to call me and we'll talk about it.

Tritronics G3 EXP Trashbreaker is by far the best for hog dogs. 2-mile range, very durable, and is easy to control up to 6 dogs at once. I can't even tell you how much I love mine. It has taken so much abuse and never has problems. They also come with two year warrenty.

I started with a DT Systems unit.  They had the worst possible customer service I have seen from any company let alone training equipment.  I now use Tri-Tronics, and stay satisfied.

Tri-tronics will have a booth at the Expo next weekend and you can meet and talk personally with the head honchos.

I am sure they will have some show specials on some of their systems too  ;D might be worth it to check it out.

Or you can enter and win the hog hunting tournament and win a system for each of the members of the 4 man team.
