Title: R.I.P. Bocano and Sadie Post by: Cristina on March 16, 2010, 10:37:36 am These have been some rough days for us. We just lost two important members of our pack but mostly of our family.
Sadie was expecting a litter but I guess she was too old and could not take the stress She was the foundation of the pack we have today and we will dearly miss her. Sadie momma you were so gentle with the kids and you were the best momma, we never had to worry about you not raising your puppies right and we never had to worry about possums around the house either. Thanks for being a great dog were gonna miss you. Bocano was taken too soon, Im guessing maybe he took a really hard hit. We raised you from pup to one of the best dogs in our yard, hunting without you wont be the same, Ill miss vesting you up and watching you work In the woods and in the bay pen, we chose you before you could open your eyes and we made the right choice. Im glad we got some pups from you I hope they are anything like you were. Erick, you were there at Bocanos first bay, at least first competition bay. Man that was a fun day. cristina sorry to hear about yalls loss, did you bring either one when yall came up and hunted with us? i cant remember. Matt, They are doing great. Last week I put them in the pen with a 50 pound hog and they just about almost ate him up and it was their first time seeing a hog, I need to get a bigger one for them. We have 5 acres and 2 acres in the back end of our property has high grass and a big pile of logs and dirt where there are a bunch of rabbits that live in there, those pups are always back there sniffing them out and they actually caught and killed one dont ask me how. I am planning to start taking them to the woods the end of this month because I think they are just about ready for some woods time, they are showing a lot of independence and a lot of hunt also. Ill get some pictures of them and post them on a new thread. Thanks again everyone -Cristina |
