Title: Re: Wild boar meat Post by: bghogdogtx on April 09, 2010, 08:41:16 am Yea Awhile back there was a buyer around where i live that some one come down from way up north to buy the hogs from him Almost twice of what he was buying them from us for. Said it was a Delicacy way up north.
Title: Re: Wild boar meat Post by: shawn on April 09, 2010, 08:45:42 am Said it was a Delicacy way up north. give it a few years when the population spreads up there too, it wont be a delicacy no more, lol Title: Re: Wild boar meat Post by: bghogdogtx on April 09, 2010, 08:49:33 am Yea that is true
Title: Re: Wild boar meat Post by: coach on April 09, 2010, 09:03:21 am Do yall have the same problem I do though. The front shoulders are usually tore out and the hams are so bruised up if he is a runner. The most I usually get is the back straps out cause I will carry a plastic bag with me and cut them out of the really big hogs.
Title: Re: Wild boar meat Post by: shawn on April 09, 2010, 09:21:20 am yeah we gotta cut around the meat on the front shoulders, we're always saying "damn puppies" lol
Title: Re: Wild boar meat Post by: dabutcher on April 09, 2010, 09:21:20 am well...... all i can say is THANKS KRYSTAL. i've had a hankerin for some yak ribeyes and now i know where to hit it up at. either that or the Llama NY strip steaks. Delicious rolleyes
i think with those prices it's time to pick up some Llamas.... i wonder how many you can run per acre. that's better than beef prices by far. Title: Re: Wild boar meat Post by: Bryant on April 09, 2010, 09:48:45 am WOW! 25lb suckling pigs for $195.00?
