Title: Lost/dumped dog?
Post by: dub on April 14, 2010, 02:13:02 pm
Near Magnolia TX a dog is staying near the road at my dad's place. I am putting food and water but the dog has avoided a collar so far. He is spending a lot of time next to the road. So I think he was dumped. He is white and brown about a hundred pounds. If you lost it let me know and I will check to see if it is yours. If you dumped it I would like to know what problems you had. I know some people dump because of too much barking or worse. I am slowly building trust and hope to have him in a kennel soon. But I would like to know if there are any problems. Also I have to walk real slow and avoid eye contact to get close to the dog. Once I am petting him he looks at me but any sudden sound or movement and he runs just a little to get space. Any recommendations on building trust or is it just time and patience?

Yeah My ringer is off now. The kids are asleep so I can't talk. Just give me a call anytime after 8:00 AM. Yes I got a male too.
