Post by: FORREST on April 21, 2010, 06:05:40 pm
Has anyone ever tried this roll on bedliner and if so how well does it hold up and how easy is it to apply, a lot of prep wor etc?  Thinkin about tryin it on my toolbox first.

I did it on a pickup a couple years ago and it worked out pretty well.  it matters a lot that you do your prep right.  you'll have to run some sand paper or something over the bed and get it all scratched up, then clean it with acetone real good.  We did a double coat on it and it was three years at least of real regular use before we ever saw a scratch through it.  It would have been real easy to touch up but we sold the pickup before we had to.  I'd do it again on a pickup bed in a heartbeat.  It will take a while to do two coats because you have to let the first one dry first.

It is all in the prep! roll or spray only effects the texture. It don't matter if you pour it on if you preped it good.

Didn't have real good luck with it but I didn't do the proper prep work either.
Raptor liner is now my choice, any color, can be brushed, rolled or they sell a sprayer for it.
I like it because it's thick and stays pliable (soft) like the expensive ones.
My herculiner was like a coat of paint, thicker but brittle.
Everywhere bent the herculine just flaked off like paint does.
