Title: feeding hogs kept for training? Post by: DangerZone on May 13, 2010, 08:03:31 pm Just wondering what everyone is feeding the hogs they keep for bayin or training? I got two boar one about 10lb and the other 35lb when i got them been about 6 weeks ago. little one keeps getting meaner and fatter and the bigger one taller but skinny,. I feed them a mixture of deer corn and pig feed. been thinking about giving the one a dose of zimectrin.

Beats the heck out of slopping them! ;D Title: Re: feeding hogs kept for training? Post by: bolo on May 14, 2010, 11:18:45 am If you would soak your corn 3-4 days (soften it) i think the hogs will digest it better.

The swine dose for ivermectin is less than 1.87% which is what zimecterin is. I'm pretty sure hog ivermectin is .27%, making it much less potent for the hog dosage. May want to check that.
