Title: Contact sport? Post by: dub on June 23, 2010, 10:46:59 am Is hog hunting a contact sport? I got to go have surgery on my broke wrist and doc said no contact sports for six months! I figured I could learn a one-handed hog flip ;D I guess I only need one hand if I stick em quick! Would that be a contact sport? DAGUM doctors mess up all my fun!
Title: Re: Contact sport? Post by: cujo72 on June 23, 2010, 11:12:36 am Don't worry about your wrist. A old hog hunting buddy of mine once told me as he got older that he ran one catch dog and two catch boys. So just get you some catch boys and rest that wrist and get in the woods at the same time.

He said it already needed surgery so if I was going to do something I should do it before the surgery. So I will be making some calls so I can work my dogs. They are getting stir crazy too!

Post by: cward on June 23, 2010, 08:18:22 pm Well during the TDHA hunt my wife was hunting with the HDL girls and a horse kicked her and broke her collar bone she finished the hunt with 15 hogs!! Got up made it to the TDHA Weigh in!!She went to the vet and had it X-Rayed ! He told her to go to the real Doc It was broke!She did not listen and broke it into 2 weeks later again this time we went to the doc and he said it was broke even worse!! She never stopped hunting they still shot video's but she was handy capped! I would say it is a contact sport!!
