Title: JULY 3rd Hunt.. Post by: chainrated on July 05, 2010, 10:21:06 am Me, Jeremy and Casey made a little run and caught 3.
Turned loose about 6:30 and had the first one caught within 15 minutes. Patrick and Diamond looped around to our right and I heard Patrick bark one time and the race was on. The hog ran across the road right in front of me with Pat and Diamond on his butt. Diamond is about the fastest dog I've ever seen in the woods and within about 130 yards I heard her hook up on the hog, not one bark. Pat was right there with her and caught too. The hog was about 250.. About 5 minutes later we heard a hog squealing and got around to it and diamond had a sow caught. Notice what color diamond is, Black with tan trim.. We got around to the lake and he was bayed about 500 yards on the other side. There was no way to get to the other side without a boat or swimming but luckily there was a guy fishing that was nice enough to load us and the bulldog up in his nice bass boat and take us across. Got to Patrick and sent the bulldog and it was another good boar hog about 230. He worked on pat and the bulldog a little but nothin too bad.. Decided to not push our luck anymore and got out of there about 9:30..
