Title: Good Barr Hog
Post by: thesquealisreal on July 09, 2010, 10:34:42 am
Started out about 10PM last Friday night and tried a few different spots. Didn't have much luck until we went to the last corn feeder. I was walking around looking for some sign and about 20 yards behind the feeder my Lola and Black Jack dog started baying. I could hear the hog, I knew he was big. He didn't stay long. According to the Garmin he ran 700 yards and stopped again. Then he was bayed solid. We got about 150 yards and went up a mountain to get to where he was. Sent two of the bull dogs down the other side and he was in a creek. After we got him tied up I was glad to find nothing was hurt. It took about 2 hours to get him out of the woods. Not exactly sure on the weight but, would easily be pushing 350+.

Oh my was it.  After we finally got a four wheeler to him we were able to winch him out. It took about 2 hours to get him out.
