Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: T-Bob Parker on September 01, 2010, 09:07:05 pm Okay, Kid Rock just sang a sex, drugs, and rock and roll song called, "rock and roll Jesus"
Seriously, I wish there was a Christian version of the fatwa >:D Title: Re: CMA? And there trying to mix in rap/rock :-\ in with it to keep up with the times I guess. But atlest I have one station that I can tune in that 9 out of 10 are old country.
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: T-Bob Parker on September 01, 2010, 10:00:36 pm yeah i know it, nothing beats texas country. we aint got a single station in houston worth scootin a boot to. its areal shame, whats this world coming to when HOOTIE (formerly with the blowfish) is selling out fairgrounds and rodeos
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: matt_aggie04 on September 01, 2010, 10:04:12 pm 105.3 is not the best but at least it is mainly new Texas country and some really good Texas country. 98.1 out of Austin plays more 80's country than any other I've heard.
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: HogzgoneWild on September 01, 2010, 10:13:02 pm Thats why I just listen to cd's.
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: T-Bob Parker on September 01, 2010, 10:14:19 pm ive never heard of 105.3 are they out of college station? can you pick them up in houston?
KIKK FM went off the air my senior year of high school and none of us had ipods yet so it was crummy times until i discovered internet radio Title: Re: CMA? There aint been a whole lotta country on that stage in a long time! I stick to the oldies and just recently found 105.3 after a friend told me about it. It aint bad at all. I caught the back end of a song called "Mule therapy" the other day. I sure liked it but I dont have a clue who was singing it. Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: nogalus boy on September 03, 2010, 01:49:31 am Thats exactly why I dont watch them. I just put me in some good ol Texas country. Cant beat that.
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: djhogdogger on September 03, 2010, 06:34:27 am If you can pick it up, 97.1 out of Cleveland is all old country. Thats the music that i grew up with. ;)
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: Reuben on September 03, 2010, 07:12:49 am 97.1 in bay city, el campo, edna in Texas is old country...

I can't hear it in Freeport but once I get to Alvin I can pick it up. You should be able to pick it up in Houston. Also below is the computer address if you want to listen on your computer. This way you can be anywhere and pick it up as long as you have the net... http://streaming.countrylegends971.com/_players/coxradio/index.php?callsign=KTHTFM Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: T-Bob Parker on September 03, 2010, 07:24:51 am I checked it out and 105.3 is now on my preset buttons in my truck. I lose, the signal at downtown Houston but I'd rather listen to fuzzy Texas country than crystal clear Kieth Urban.
97.1 is good but if you listen for three days you'll notice they only own eight hours worth of music and they loop it on a three day cycle. Good hearted attempt though. Hell I listen to talk radio mostly anyway Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: Circle C on September 03, 2010, 08:15:37 am Quote Hell I listen to talk radio mostly anyway I can tell when Mandi has been listening to talk radio, she comes into the office in a foul mood, bitching about the democrats mostly, and politicians in general too. ;DTitle: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: T-Bob Parker on September 03, 2010, 08:36:18 am Haha ya me too.
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: dabutcher on September 03, 2010, 01:33:19 pm they squeezed in a small shot of Jamey Johnson towards the end....... i think he's fairly country or i guess maybe outlaw country. his new cd comes out on the 14th of this month should be another good one.
Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: Tusk Hog on September 03, 2010, 02:16:38 pm Remember with today's estimates 75 % of America population lives in the city. Us 'country bumpkins" are a vanishing bred.

Robin Title: Re: CMA? WTH Post by: T-Bob Parker on September 03, 2010, 06:24:17 pm if i didnt know hootie was already a country singer i probably wouldnt have written that, i dont like his brand of soft rock "country" , thats why i called him hootie instead of darius rucker.
my grandpa told me if everybody liked the same thing, every body would be trying to get a piece of grandma. |
