The guide should have known his own laws. I do not ever push the laws but there are so many stupid little laws. Someone will go through the video and say hey look at that! You will look and say so what? See that endangered plant you stepped on?

I am a disappointed in Uncle Ted but I forgive him. Folks make mistakes all the time but what I dont understand is the local guide should have throwed up a flag on baiting and the size requirement! Did he? If so, did Ted ignore him?  ???

The Lord knows I have made my mistakes in the field. Just like you say dub, with all of the little nit picky laws out there, it is getting easier to do.
If I were Uncle Ted, I would make a public apology and explain (as dumb as it may sound) exactly what happened.

Most folks will forgive him for being human. It will look even worse than it does if he stays quiet about it.

I don't know anybody that's grown up huntin that hasn't gotten a ticket.. Three or four people in that report said they were "shocked" that such a thing could ever happen. Give me a break, that could have happened to anybody with all the ridiculous little laws that are different in every state. I think I can find something a lot better  to be shocked about these days..

 The laws have gotten so riduclous in California that almost everything you do turns out to be illegal, thats one of the main resons I moved away plus when you make almost $50 and cant pay rent something is wrong. The wardens have check points on most major roads heading out of the mountains there to check your deer and there is no way he got out the mountains without seeing a check point. Floks in Texas are pretty lucky when it comes to the outdoors and what they can do. Here are a few things that are illegal in California and not in Texas:
 trout lines, jug lines, more than 1 fishing pole in the water, treble hooks in parts of the river, Barbed hooks for certain species, Baiting deer, deer attractants, shooting does, spotlighting anything, Hogs have to be killed with a firearm bigger than a 24 cal even while pursued with dogs, Plus 1 deer tag cost more than our ultimate sportsman license here in Texas. And on and on.

Sorry Uncle Ted,,,,but no one with a fine ass cougar wife like he's got gets any sympathy from me.
