Wormed my dogs yesterday with Equimax and gave them all about a dime size amount rolled in some meat. All the dogs seem fine but my little pit/chihuahua dog seems like she cant hardly see and is running into things. She doesnt seem sick at all just cant see hardly. She weighs about 25 lbs. Did I give her to much? Just wondering if any of yall have had this experience.

It's easy to overdose a dog  with equimax. Their pupils will usually get real big and their eyes will bulge out..

You have to be careful with ivermectin, that may have been alot for a 25lb dog, but im not posative, youll get some answers soon, good luck

They should get back to normal in about a day. Not sure about a dog that small though..

i use it and u can kill a dog by over dosage. if she dont die in 24hr she should be fine . she will be normal agian, my wife killed my wiennie dog cause she seen me worming my hog dogs and she give him the same amount it took 30min he died.

Do you think that the dog could of had heartworms? I have intentionally given a high amount to certain dogs that were borderline keepers and some I suspected to of had heartworms. These dogs got very sick in about 30 minutes after giving them Zimecterin. I have given these dogs an aspirin and they recovered. My assumption was that the worms were dying off and plugging a main artery or heart so thinning the blood should help or work. It worked because the dogs lived. However, this does not mean that it was the real problem but I was using commom sense.

She is back to normal after a day or two and I bet she dont have worms no more! LOL Just have to be careful with that stuff on small dogs.
