my dog novio got hit by a truck friday nite   we were letting the dogs do their biz b4 the hunt when a pickup came flyin up from the south  my strike dog an redbone were out in the field aways an novio was hangin out with us  we turned the headlights on on the pickup an our headlights too but he never slowed down  as he got closer we started wavin our arms an jumpin up an down on the edge of the road   he never slowed down an novio started across the road to the other dogs and bam that kid hit him    he did lock up his brakes but the damage was done  separated his rib cage an almost busted his diaphram an collapse a lung  after cussin that kid he said he never saw us or the dog   i dont see how he couldnt unless he wasnt lookin at the road at all  took novio to the vet and he said he needed surgery an i can pick him up today   he should only be out about 2 weeks or so but still sux azz   ruint my whole weekend and to top it off my wife an me got into an arguement last nite and i guess now she wants a divorce   told me she hated me an wants me to sign over rights to my kids   so here i am startein off thanksgiving week with a large vet bill and even bigger lawyer fee   an cant even go hunt to take my mind off things   guess my hard times aint all the way over yet  maybe after christmas?

dont get me wrong  i aint a drama king but i dont talk about things that hurt my feelings much but i wanted to get all this off my chest  thx 4 reading if u do

Unbelievable way to start the holidays I hope things work out for you.

Man, my wife hates me and wants a divorce bout once a week....that should pass for you I hope....hope the dog gets better too.

i get him back today and the vet said he would b ready in about 10 days or so to hunt  just pees me off sum kid textin almost killed him  hes a hog stoppin fool   if that had been one of my kids i would never see the light of day again i guarantee it   i caught 3 hogs all summer after i sold this dog and ive caught round 15 in two weeks after i bought him back just to show u the difference he makes  of course my other dogs dont have any grit  but he fits my pack to a t  and he loves to hate hogs  just a great dog for findin him walkin down the road

Just hang in there buddy, time has a way of healing things. Bad things do happen to good people. Head up and Chest out. Our prayers are with you.  Oh yea dont sign anything!!!

That really sucks. Sometimes you just have to vent. Glad the dog will be OK. I hope things work out at home for you and the family. Just keep your head on and think about what will make things better not worse.

aw hell this guy always lands on his feet, does suck when a woman kicks u while ur down , I kno the feelin, they always know right when to drop the sour grapes. they must just love the power of being able to piss us off. hell I also know the surrender feeling though, hang in there and roll with the punches fellas

well the dog is in surgery rite now an thankfully the vet will take payments cuz i dont know how i would of paid for it  the holidays got into my acct pretty deeply already  an me an the wife r talkin maturely now  dont know if we will stay together or not but at least we r civil   my oldest boy hasnt left my side since i got home from wrk yesterday  ive tripped over him everytime ive turned around   hope she knows if we split that hes goin with me  ill have to see wut the other two want to do  but believe me i will keep mopvin forward with or without her

Hate to hear all of this going on with you. Just rember to keep a cool head and work things out the best you can. Its a give and take situation. I've been throuh it and its hard but things will work out. My prayers are with you.
