Title: Re: cropping ears Post by: pig snatcher on December 02, 2010, 12:07:02 pm Cropping ears is rather pointless to start with but if you must have it, I would say that since you dont know what you are doing it would be best to take the dog to a vet and have it done.
Just saying Title: Re: cropping ears Post by: t.wilbanks on December 02, 2010, 12:10:36 pm Cropping ears is rather pointless to start with but if you must have it, I would say that since you dont know what you are doing it would be best to take the dog to a vet and have it done. Just saying x2!!!! I like a pitbull with natural ears anyways, but thats JMO!! ;) But my buddy had a pit pup that had crooked ears that probably would have looked better cropped! :D Title: Re: cropping ears Post by: Case on December 02, 2010, 12:19:00 pm Cropping ears is rather pointless to start with So is bob-tailing, but folks do it... From what I've read; it is illegal to crop a dog's ears in the U. S. unless you are a licensed vet, and In some states, ear cropping is completely illegal! Here is a link to instructions and regulations of cropping. Good luck! http://www.riospitbull.com/ear_cropping.htm Title: Re: cropping ears Post by: blakebh on December 02, 2010, 12:22:53 pm I have a pit pup whose ears naturally stand straight up like a chihuahua! LOL He is a ugly little dog, but his ears give him personality.
Title: Re: cropping ears Post by: djhogdogger on December 02, 2010, 12:23:14 pm One of our cd's ears are cropped. They were already cropped when we got him and he is always shaking his head in the wind or when riding in the back of the truck. I guess he doesn't like the wind blowing in his uncovered ears. His ears look cool and all but i would never pay to have ones ears cropped because thats a lot of money just to change a dogs appearance in my oppinion. But to each his own. :)
