EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

 started out early this morning 11 degrees at daylight, i was riding my horse and everyone else was on there 4 wheelers.  put the dogs on the ground about 7:00 am, about 30 min later we had a bay about 500yd out, they broke pretty quick and headed west, we rode to a good fence and the guys headed out on foot, i found a gate just down the fence line ;D and was on my way, the bay broke again and dogs were scatered every where, bob finally picked Candy up  .8 of a mile on to the west, we headed that way took a while to get to them i had to back track a few times to get around some fences, i was shure the guys were there cause it had taken me a long time to get there, as i got closer i could here the cur dogs caching and getting nocked back, i rode in and the curs had a 150# boar caught i tied him and was catching my breath and the other guys showed up, the dogs rolled out and had another bay 800 yd to the north, we all headed out on foot to lead the young dogs away from the tied hog. we got to a big creek and they were on the other side with a 100# sow some of the guys found away around and stuck her.  the other dogs rolled out again and were headed back to the east. we had 2 bays going the closest one was .6 of a mile and the other was .75 of a mile and they were about a mile apart. we caught or breath for a minute and i went back to get my horse and bob headed to the closest bay, we met up along the way and caught a 250# sow.  we headed to the other bay and were about 300 yrd away and they broke and headed to the west, we waited for awile and headed back to help gather up the hogs , and the dogs came back in.. 3 hogs for the day ,  me Sam gyp had 17 mi. on her collar and my pup had 16mi. on his collar,  it ws a long hard day, we were back at the tuck about 1:00...

Craig your videos turned out real good. That is a pretty big bluff bank on the creek y'all are sitting on and some real pretty country. That 11 degrees is for the birds though, did it ever warm up very much?
