Title: The other half of us Post by: boarwild on January 24, 2011, 12:14:28 pm For those of you that have a wife, girlfriend, friend, or whatever else you want to call her i thought it would be cool to have a thread as a tribute to them letting us do what we love. i know there is some ladies on here themselves so post up as well. Just want to show that its not just grueling mean men that do such a sport. I think with recent events its important to note it's not as bad as it seems. If you have one some where post a pic up of your ole lady getting it done. Ill get it started. This is a pretty good one my wife stabbed on a good hunt.

She is by far my biggest supporter and love her for it thanks

Goes with us on horseback, four wheeler or the shorter hikes we have to do for cat hunting and has been on a few hog hunts but wants to do more.

The wife goes with me quite a bit and is a great hunting partner. She never complains about me hunting and has even told me before that the freezer was getting low so I'd better get my butt out there and catch something. She's also holding down the homestead and taking care of two kids and the four dogs we have left there at the house while I'm gone. Couldn't ask for anybody better.

She refuses to hunt with me but very supportive. Even though she cant stand it, she still feeds my dogs for me when Im out of town and has done it for 25 years! Crazy about football, a city gal all the way but she puts up with this country boy just fine and I am very proud of her. A great mom, grandmother, and she makes me take time out from hog hunting to take her fishing! I hate to admit it but she usually out fishes me too. ;D Ima lucky man! My wife said yes. So my boy asks his mom if she is tough. She said no not really. So he asked if she wanted to be tough. She said no I like being girly.
So how tough is she. When my my son was born the epidural had worn off and she asked for more. The doc came to check and said there was no time the baby was coming right then. I could see just how much pain she was in. Those that have been there know. She had no pain medicine and had been in full blown labor for what seemed forever and the doctor was saying saying the baby had to get out now or he may not make it. My wife sat up and prayed out loud. I am not talking God help me. It was a full blown prayer with an amen on the end. The funny thing was that just before I met my wife some lady was saying women were tougher than men because they give birth. I said it is not going through pain but how you go through that makes someone tough and if a woman ever sat up while giving birth and ordered a pizza I would admit she was the toughest person I ever met. Well that prayer was as clear as ordering a pizza. So would say that my little girly wife is the toughest person I have ever known! I now never assume any woman is not tough! They may be little, girly, or whatever but when they need to be tough they pull the tough out of nowhere and you better just get out of the way. I think its cool you guys have your gals involved in the sport. I don't have a boss at home but I can imagine a boar hog mauling my ex wife. That's a pretty cool image. I did and i am proud of it. LMAO, and she is happy to clean kennels or feed my dogs before i am able to get home. she knows just as much about dogs if not more then i do. She has been doggin once, but said she didnt care to go again because she didnt want to be around if a dog got hurt or killed.
I dont have a pic of her with the only hog she has ever killed, but I will say it was a fine piece of shooting because after I cleaned it, the entire thing minus fit in a gallon zip lock!! She likes to run marathons and is a hell of a good nurse and a good person. I love her alot and enjoy my time with her and she is constantly making me challange myself which is good. I have managed to drag her around on a few hunts even though the pleasure was all mine haha. She feeds for me every now and then too which is nice.

She goes huntin with me every chance she gets, and she even got me an AR for Christmas this year. She is going to chiropractic school this next year so she can rake in some dough. And last but not least she puts up with my stubborn a$$. I love her to death ;D

I would have to say that I am married to a woman that loves to hog hunt just as much as I do. When we go hunting, she is one person I can count on being right there with me, helping out. Thats if she doesn't beat me there first. Then its me helping out her. I couldn't ask for a better hunting partner. Most of you know her on here as djhogdogger aka (Dinah). Just want to thank Mrs. Djhogdogger for everything you do.

I culled plenty hard for a long time till I found exactly what I wanted, anything that would have me. She is my life, love and my partner, wouldn't trade her for all of yalls combined. I keep telling her that I'm the one who married up but she insists she did, who am I to argue. Most of her pics she says "UGH!" so I don't have a lot to post, that she wouldn't kill me for anyways. Does alot for not gettin to go but maybe once every two or three months.

This is my other 1/2, She has her hands full with the girls, so she dont get to do much huntin anymore, but she used to go with me, and is a good hand. My wife, she owns her own ranch in Florida with Paints, she can squall a coon out of a tree, shoot anything with a bullet, string, bow etc. knows all of the dogs different mouths, trained her own horses and rides my fence jumping mule and has been getting him ready to drive a wagon and tacked out, she will get in the hog pen with chaps and dogs to herd the hogs up into the chute to haul to sale, can read a track as well as i can, she also gives handicpted rides at the ranch she has in Florida, she has saved my awrse and my dogs awrse many a time, drives her own lil red dually Ddodge 5.9 cummins i got souped up for hauling, she loves to make coal smoke, i am a lucky man for sure, thank you forever for being my wife!!!!! She can start, run, operate our D8 cat, Cat 16 maintianer and all of the Mack winch trucks, Great cook, almost as good as I am, we are going to start competition squirrel hunting this year together.
