I missed those postings. ;D Ya, Ive only watched the latest one. I know there are several different styles of hunting, but they still didnt show the way we do it! My family watched it and I had to explain to them, throughout the whole show, the things that were wrong with it. It was almost a headache.

Title: Re: "Hogs Gone Wild" series Post by: aceofspades on January 25, 2011, 04:56:43 pm well to a real hunter there a bunch of IDIOTS that have no clue what they are doing. but to the public hunting with dogs is portrayed in a positive manner. the hogs are made out to be the vicious beasts we all know them to be. so if you don’t know jack a bought hog hunting it looks good

Title: Re: "Hogs Gone Wild" series Post by: make-em-squeel on January 25, 2011, 05:43:40 pm I may have a biased opinion since my PPC dogo is going to be on a couple future episodes, BUT the show is NOT made for hunters, its main purpose is to get ratings from 99% of the world that dont hunt with dogs or hogs period. They edit the hunts and everything the guys say. Josh says he has to repeat every line that makes it to the show 15 times before its a wrap, and they have different footage from the the hunts spliced together. So I think most non hunters pay attention to alot of different views than we do

But like I said earlier, most of the hunting footage is copied and pasted and edited etc, I can barley stand some of my friends in the woods....could you imagine a film crew!! Well if you sign up for it you cant complain about it! ;) That show is in no way made for any hunter much less a dog hunter. I wish we could put a good man or woman on the editing team! Title: Re: "Hogs Gone Wild" series Post by: M Bennet on January 25, 2011, 07:59:07 pm all the neg about wat there doing and it looks bad on all of us. i desagree cause all my ranchers an farmers are still going to let me catch hogs for them and i think they dont even watch the show. my own 7yr old boy said dad y dont they put dogs on the hood, why they shine a light? i said they just do it different. my 6yr old girls like it, they like the dane dog said i need one.lol
Title: Re: "Hogs Gone Wild" series Post by: bob on January 25, 2011, 08:22:59 pm I thought the dane was a joke , hes trained to catch the biggest hog in the group , then they turn him loose looking at hogs and he runs around and then comes back , oh there must be to much scent out there , LOL you turn my bull dog loose looking at hogs and youll have a caught hog , he aint coming back LOL craig have you seen it yet , heck we could ride the dog instead of a horse , maybe make a better ride than a catch dog
Title: Re: "Hogs Gone Wild" series Post by: BULLMASTER on January 25, 2011, 10:57:05 pm Monty you live up there in Gods country brother with good ranchers and just good people in general that really understand the hog problem.I sure miss Paduca and Flomot, thats the best hog hunting in the state in my opinion.
Title: Re: "Hogs Gone Wild" series Post by: aceofspades on January 26, 2011, 12:27:29 pm I have to stay with my original comment if you are not a hunter the show looks good. and is filmed to be hunter positive. only a hunter can tell you that the people are idiots. Just keep in mind the show is to entertain and educate non hunters of the importance of hunting. i do think that with experience and guidance the Florida boys could be good. as for the Dane he looks great on camera even if he cant get the job done. in my kennels he would be culled but than i would have never tried to train a Dane. back in the day Great Danes were great hunters but over time the hunting instinct was bread out to make better pets and that’s were they should stay. As for the show as long as they keep the positive look on hunting I will watch and support it. just my opinion
