i have fed diamond for a while now, but my dogs seem to crap alot more then they use too, and it smells worse then it use too, and kinda has a weird light yellow green color, any opinions?

i feed the same  i havent had any problems  knock on wood

it might just be me but i clean my kennels once a week, and seems like 4 months ago if i got busy and wentl longer is was ok, now its like every 3 or 4 days they look plum nasty

Man his cd had the farts bad yesterday smelled like something had crawled up his butt and died I could not stand to be hind him

the other night i thought tanners wife was going to throw up when ice man crapped by the truck, its rough

I fed Diamond High Energy for the last two yrs and was very pleased with it until bout a month ago.Like you sayed dogs crapped more and the piles were bigger.My dogs also started losin weight,some got sick and died.Took em to the vet and he said they didnt have worm or nothin just needed to try changin thier feed and see what happens.I called Diamond dog foods and asked if they have had any recent problems they said "no but try a different batch #,get it from a different store".Well I did that and seen an improvement,So then I changed to different feed all together.

my dad has a dog kennel and raises small breeds and he use to feed diamond and he had the same problem and he had to quit feeding it. He started feeding BLACK GOLD and thats what i feed also even though its a little expensive it lasts alot longer if you mix it with a cheaper brand of dog food

i love that black gold, but im on that poor colege kid budget, its kinda like dave ramseys budget but theres nothing left over at the end of the month,

lol understand that i was too but it sure stretches a long way if you dont feed it streat and just mix it with another cheap brand dog food lol

I used to feed diamonds as well, but switched about 8 months ago to retreiver.  My dogs look really good, and they like it alot better.  Its a very affordable dog food too, lots of protein.  No bone meal, its beef meal.  Good stuff.

We were quite faithful to Diamond until we started noticing inconsistencies within the batches. One bag would have their stools firm, and the next bag would have ten dogs with loose stools until the bag was finished. We decided to give Sportsmix a go, and after a couple months on that we decided that it just didn't work for our dogs. Been on Victor ever since, and I can say that stools are consistent with the exception of a dog getting nervous and having a loose movement. The dogs look good and perform well on the Victor. Furthermore, it is economical to feed.

That said, one feed isn't going to work on every dog. Sportsmix didn't work out for us, but I hear enough good reviews that I am inclined to think the issue we had may have been related to what our dogs were used to. I think it is important to give any new feed sufficient time to produce results when I try it. A couple weeks isn't enough time to assess whether or not a feed is working out. In my opinion, weights and stools can fluctuate until the body gets accustomed to the protein and fat sources within a food. It takes me a minimum of a month, preferably two months to get an idea on whether or not the feed is working for my dogs.

Raw is the best way to go. Dogs will smell better and crap less. Water intake is less as well.
For dry feeders look at taste of wild, Evo, or Orjin.

How many dogs are you feeding? Just wondering because that kibble you mentioned is a little pricey.

We changed from Diamond for that reason.  We feed Retriever in blue bag and it is working great. 

I'm feeding outlaw now Zach.   Have fed just bout it all. It seems be best hamilin is close to it but not feeding as much and dogs seem to bee doing good

I have fed Taste of The Wild to a couple of dogs.  Economical, it is not. I was paying like $45 for 40 lbs. My dogs ate the same amount as the ones I had on Victor. I fed it to a fourteen year old Aussie and a nine month to a year old Aussie. They did well on it, but I couldn't hack the price if I fed it to all our dogs. I'd be broke in no time. As it turned out, the nine month old didn't have the issues we thought he did with the Victor. We thought he wasn't digesting it properly and it wasn't agreeing with him. He wasn't any better with the TOTW so after a few months I switched him back. The old dog just gave up on eating dog food altogether and now I just bring him people food. He doesn't have much for teeth.

I've got a small yard with just 4 dogs. The diet there on has cut my vet bill down  and my yard doesn't smell like dog crap.  I spend more on feed so I can spend  less at  the vet. JMO
Now Im just need to get a handle on all these dam yearly shots

I have fed dimond for about 8 years, now I'm looking for some thing like dimond used to be, the quality has gone down and the price has gone up, most of the brands mentioned just are not sold around here. maybe i'll start feeding white tail  ;D it's sure nuff cheap and the dogs sure like it

I fed retriever not really sure why I quit, but where do u get victor? And I tried outlaw when they first started Landon sure likes it but I got it when they were switching formulas I might try it again I just like convenience getting feed I got sportmix now see how that goes I was wandering about red chain and golden boy. Are they any good

Really don't like red chain was feeding it cause it was cheap and could get it wen ever I wanted didn't matter wat time of day. She closed feed store down road was gonna go back to Hamlin but getting outlaw cheaper and closer

I always been told its cuz of all the protein in the hi energy feed. i feed mine the hi energy the day before a hunt and regular feed when not huntin. the hi energy is known as a hot feed same as in horses it burns them up just like when ppl eat crawfish thats real spicy it makes your turds worse

About two years ago I started getting my own dogs and thats all i feed till a couple months ago. There turds got softer and yellow. I swore by that feed but had to change. Just use some Hunters Special now that i can get localy. Its a higher protein meat base feed with lower fat and it seems like my dogs have alot more energy now that i feed it. IDK Growing up our dog lived off of OL Roy and table scrapes and we never wormed em. They was always lookn good.

Mine just sarted eating grass.The turds are coming out yellow and stinky.I think im going to switch from DHE to a more raw diet..
