Title: Gotta a dog question Post by: cwaldrum01 on January 31, 2011, 06:20:47 pm Has anyone ever hunted behind a weimaraner? I know they are mainly used as bird dogs, but I have seen some really good hog dogs that were bird dogs. The weimaraner seems lake an athletic, fast, intelligent dog. Dont know why that couldnt be a good hog dog.

The Germans have bred some good sporting dogs... These are supposed to be all around dogs for pointing and retrieving and wild boar but the backyard breeders and show dog breeders don't breed for none of the above. I have heard of some that were good hog dogs but never have hunted with one. |
