Title: Another quick feed mill hog Post by: levibarcus on February 09, 2011, 04:49:18 pm I went yesterday to the little patch of woods behind the feed mill and just took my pit/dane Buddy with me. I turned him loose at the edge of the woods and he made a circle about 60 yd. out and then lined out to 110 and I heard hogs grunting. A hog came tearing by me with Buddy about 20 ft behind it through some thick and nasty stuff full speed. Then I heard Buddy come back my way and make a little loop and then I heard water splash and the squeal. The hog must have laid in the creek and Buddy ran by and had to come back to find it. It was just a little sow that went 115 at the buyers scale but I was in and out of there in about 20 min. It made me happy and Buddy was happy too! I didn't remember to take a camera so no hog pics but here is my "boarhound" Buddy. lol ;D(http://i836.photobucket.com/albums/zz282/levibarcus/puppies013.jpg)

Good Job Levi and Buddy!! If your gonna keep leaving poor lil Red at the house, you might as well just sell him to me!! 8) Title: Re: Another quick feed mill hog Post by: levibarcus on February 10, 2011, 09:56:51 am Poor Red thinks I retired him, but I just can't turn him or LJ loose on these small places because they have too much bottom and will end up way off of where I have permission to be. I need some bigger places bad! It's a nice problem to have though! The last time I took them, after we caught one they both rolled out different directions and both bayed about .70 mi. from the first hog but in opposite directions. :o
