I was wondering what is ya'lls favorite way to cook some straps off of a hog? Got some fresh one's in the ice chest waitn to be cooked. Thanks.

I like to marinate mine in italain dressing then chop into Lil chunks wrap in bacon with a hollapeeno ( that stumped me lololol) sprinkle some Tonys on it throw it on the grill and with some cold beer it goes down great

   X2- only I dont cut it into chunks.I also leave all the fat on it and wrap it in tin foil.

Cover in cheap salsa and wrap in tin foil. Put on pit. When you finish cooking it low and slow, the meat will fall apart and be wonderfully tasty with all that salsa on it.

Here's one of my favorites when I get a pretty large strap we call "Triple Pig"

Take the cleaned and trimmed strap, and slit it all the way down one side but not all the way through.  In a bowl, mix a small package of Jimmy Dean sausage, some chopped onion and jalapeno and a handful of monterey jack cheese.  Stuff the strap with that mixture, and pinch it closed while you wrap the whole thing in bacon.  Cook low and slow on the grill.

Matter of fact, I have a couple pairs of straps in the refrig from just yesterday...this might make a fine Valentines dinner!
