Title: flatbed dog boxbox
Post by: Tmcclain on February 16, 2011, 01:37:07 pm
Got bored this weekend decided to build new dog box its framed in 1 inch tubing and covered in fiberglass panels.   Four seperate compartments.  The top is 3/4 plywood sprayed with ameriguard Berliner.  Made for pretty slick setup.(http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l550/dozer2380/2011-02-16132204.jpg)(http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l550/dozer2380/2011-02-16132157.jpg)(http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l550/dozer2380/2011-02-15133729.jpg)(http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l550/dozer2380/2011-02-16132227.jpg)

Its got 2.    2x3 boxes in the front and 3x4 in the back we put a catch dog on each side in the front and 3 or 4 in each side at the back we haul to sets of dogs a lot of the time u could fit quite a few in there

Me and a buddy put it together this weekend I own a body shop in zephyr if anyone's interested we pretty much build them to suit.   We went fiberglass on this one for the weight savings also we can paint to match whatever.

I know you built the box, and you did a great job on it.  I am talking about the flatbed.

What part of that box is fiberglass?  It looks all steel to me with a stall mat on the top of it?

Everything except the frame roof and the two wire corners are fiberglass panel.   The roof is 3/4 plywood shot with bedliner

Very nice, I imagine that saves a lot of weight.  Have you had any experience with it cracking or dogs chewing on it?
