Title: B-12 users
Post by: YELLOWBLACKMASK on February 24, 2011, 12:02:14 am
Got a youngster down. I bought some Durvet  Maxi-B 1000. Anybody know what the dosage is on dogs and frequency that you can give per day? Directions says 1-2 ml per 500 lbs of body weight. I havn't ever used B-12 before and aint wanting to OD em on the first go round. This seem a little strong but correct me if I am wrong fellers. Thanks

I dont know what the exact dose should be for a dog but I have seen coyote hunters give it to their dogs and also seen coon hunters give it to their dogs before a compitition hunt. They would just give them a drop in their mouth a couple hours before they hunted them and they would go forever.

Also know of a guy that confused B-12 for antibiotics and gave his pig a shot of it.The pig ran around squeeling like he was on speed or something
then fell over dead.

Well answered my own question. I gave this pup two cc's under skin once a day and in two days was up and bayin a pig thru the fence. My first with B-12 but so far was impressed. Hope this answers some of the question. Will defianatly get a sick one up an running.
