I had always been a serious bird hunter. The first time I ever went it was worse that smoking crack for me. Within 2 weeks I had bought a 4 wheeler and a dog. I think I was still in college when I first went with some guys in TN. I knew the first time I heard the dogs fighting a hog that I had found what I was looking for. I had coon hunted for several years before I went hog hunting with dogs, I loved coon hunting but I always knew there was something I would like even more....and I found it. Nothing like it I say.

Post by: BigCutters4 on March 28, 2011, 09:59:55 pm Went with a uncle one time when I was about 5 I was hooked that was the last time I had been until I was about 17 got a few dogs and had to teach my self everything I die lots of reading and research I was always by my self my buddies said iwas crazy they keep deer and duck hunting eventually I got them to come now I'm 31 married 2 kids and all my buddies hog hunt I can't get rid of them lol just kiddin had sum real great times and would not change for the world

Post by: txhogsanddogs on March 29, 2011, 08:18:50 am Have been going since i was a kid with Rooster Bennett but broke down after i was a hunting guide in Cody, WY and got my own dogs going. So my own pack and catching them shortly after that i would say Winter of 2001. I did take a year in 09 offbut kept all my dogs due to an issue with the local game warden. Never slowed me down, I'm back at it full time and now contracting more land than before. :laugh:
