WELL HAD A BLAST NOTHING BIG BUT HELL THE DOGS GOT A GOOD WORK PUPPIES INCLUDE NO ACTION SHOTS THE PUPPIES DID GOOD WE KILLED FOUR WITH THEM IN LESS THAN 30 MIN AND SUNDAY MORNING THE PUPS AND 2 OLDER DOGS BAYED UP A BIG BOAR BUT ONCE THE CATCH DOGS HIT IT KNOCK OFF THE CATCH DOG AND BROKE NEVER STOPING BUT THE DOGS PULLED THERE FINGER OUT HAHAA THE MORNIG PICS ARE WITH THE PUPS CAUGHT

Nice catch fellas.  And congrats to the hunters who hunted and turned in hogs from the South Texas Brush country.

Hey Guys! I heard they had a big protest concerning "Barefoot Bob" winning every year. Heard they skinned his hogs in the parking lot. The couldn't find a knife wound and none of his hogs had a scratch on them. Everybody elses hogs ears were chewed at least some as if they had been caught by a dog. Bob seems to catch 300lb to 400lb hogs every year. Thats hard to do in 3 days. I might catch one a year that weighs 250lbs much less 4 in three days. Just smell a rat in the wood pile and feel sorry for all the guys that sweated through that heat and catus to catch 4 that may weigh on the adverage 150lbs each if you lucky and lost their $200.00 entry fee. I hope they have the contest earlier next year and bann barefoot bob otherwise no going to have any locals enter.

Somebody that would weigh in a 'ringer' just ain't got no pride. How could u get satisfaction cheatin your way to a win? Is there that much prize $$  ?  maybe they need to send a judge or repmwith each team to assure everyone's catchin wat they bring in

I have beaten polygraphs (polyencephelographs) aka lie detectors.  I used to be a deputy, we played with ours until we could beat it.

I catch or kill around 200 hogs each year.  I get a 300 plus boar or barr hog about every other year.  I get lots of 250 pounders, maybe 20-30. 

But I have crappy places to hunt.

Why didn't any of the tournament directors raise a red flag if things appeared suspicious?

I wasn't at the weigh in and did not enter. I only heard about the protest from one of the store owners thur a e-mail. I was just wondering if any of the guys that entered had stayed around and seen what actually took place. I entered the past two years but not this year. We go for fun and every year some guy named "Barefoot Bob" wins with hogs twice as big as anybody elses. Usually walks away with about $2000.00 of the contestants money. They supose to give polygraphs but I don't know if they gave one or not. I would have thought skinning the hogs in the parking lot would have been proof enough. I know I am not entering again if that continue to allow Barefoot to compete.

Who really wants to call out some one that runs dogs barefooted and can catch a snake with his toes.....just seems like that might be a hard fight to win.

The tournament rules stated "If needed, a polygraph exam will be given".  

The validation with a polygraph is standard for the TDHA and the Randy Bumpurs tournaments.  So Los Cazadores advertised the use of the polygraph but when it came down to it, it wasn't actually used.  If reasonable doubt exist and a protest was announced, why didn't Los Cazadores fullfill their rule statement with an actual test?  I feel more cheated by Los Cazadores for not actually fullfilling their rule statement than the possibility of someone cheating to win.  The only reason I hunt this tournament was because I thought a polygraph was standard.  I also think if someone did protest, all the other contestants should be able to view Los Cazadore's final ruling.  

Who or how was a protest formally submitted?  I'm on the verge of sending Los Cazadores an inquiry email and would like to know any of this info before I do.

Well first off they have been doing this since he was 7 yrs old and second off they did not win it last year and third off I as a woman flip these hogs myself at 5'2 120lbs andI take my 5 and 11 yr old girls with me our dogs are trained well enough that we use 1 catch dog and when i get there to flip it as soon as i grab ahold of it the dog lets go and stays back waiting in case it gets away... If it doesnt get away  i can tell it to go on and it will go to the next dog thats bayed up and same process there takes place..I take several dogs on the hunt but each of my older trained dogs get there on hogs sometimes we dont even use a bay dog I have some fast crosses that catch them without help. One night I had 5 people me my husband , brother kids, and a friend in an costal field and each dog had there own hog we were all tying our own hogs and our bay dogs caught some as well, we brought in 10 head that night smallest one was 200 lbs biggest one was 362lbs.. We have voluenteered to video tape the whole process next year in which yes we do catch alot of hogs in 2 days we dont sleep and we hunt hard We personally sell our hogs we catch year round and they wont buy them if the have marks on there ears I sell over 100,000 pounds of hogs each year and I have the paperwork to prove it. So before you start trying to give someone a bad reputation come on down her by Abilene Tx and i will show you are hogs are legit but be ready to pull several all nighter cause this is how we make our living is off of hogs..I personally do have hogs chewed up but it usually all of our young or new dogs we are training give them a few weeks to a month and if they are going to make it as a catch dog they are broke off the catch the same way.. I dont enjoy having to pry a dog from a hogs ear it waste time and cost me money cause i cant sell a chewed up hog.. So i suggest you see last year winner results we didnt bring in the wt this year that we did last year and yes we are hunting 10,000 plus acres down here in one hunt thats just one of our locations we could go to nice river bottoms wheat fields and cover plus all of our dogs are our own bloodline since 20 years ago and we may use a pit thats not our lines we have over 60 dogs between the 2 families so before you point fingers get the facts or come on down here and we will take you and you can see for yourselfs.. Nice reply Mrs. Richardson! I was there but didnt look at yalls hogs, I pulled up right as it was going on and Steve told me about the situation. No matter what Los Cazadores should have had the polygraph machine there but the guy didnt show up. I know now they are wanting to ban Barefoot from the contest next year due to the number of complaints they have recieved. You should send this link to Los Cazadores so that Jason Larue and Steve Mabery can see what everyone thinks about this. They put on a great contest and are trying to do it right. This is only their second year for this and they are still learning. If you have ideas as to how to improve this contest you should call or email them with your suggestions. They will never make everyone happy and  there will always be someone pissed off because they didnt win and think they were cheated. I'm dont know if they cheated or not and dont care, I'm more concerned about the buttkickin the S. Texas hogs gave us and we weighed 150 lbs of hogs with 3 freaking hogs. If it wasnt for the dang TV show we wouldn't have even shown back up to the final weight in. All I'm gonna do is go out and do my best and try to put our dogs on the best place we have access to then let the big man above take it from there. Good luck to all and be safe!!

I just looked him up on here, I hunted in it last year, we pulled second or third in biggest boar but didn't have his weight. His dogs do seem good and it looked like his pigs had been caught however the guy who brought in the biggest pig was not caught. I have seen people.catch them the way you are saying but not a 400pound hog before gutter with a small knife wound in the back half bout to miss lungs and hit liver with not a scratch and a cut boar at that. Not to mention we were talking to some other hunters and there was a gut pile with a bullet in it!!!!!. We protested the cut pig but there was nothing done. If they are going to allow high fenced places and cut hogs then they MUST have a polygraph

I'm not from Tx and didn't enter the contest, but I coulda swore this discussion came up last time this contest was held.  I remember reading about it somewhere down the line about the same issues people were having and the concerns they were raising.  And the link to that website don't work, I'd sure like to gander at them dogs, I never get tired of looking at good dogs.

Just sayin team barefoot has a guy down her watching them and so far on the first night we have 27 hogs so far  no high games fences either may or may not win but just headed back put after a 4 hr nap and glad there is someone here to witness the team barefoot is legit at catching those hogs!! Good luck to all the teams and thanks to the guys at the hunt for sending someone down here to clear barefoot name!!

I heard Barefoot caught alot of hogs on a very large ranch under supervision but didn't win. Think the winning stringer was 886lbs and second was 811lbs. Polygraphs were given to places 1 thru 4 and all passed. I think they should put one name from each team in the hat and let each team draw and that guy would have to go with them and make sure everything was legal.

If a polygraph is admissable in any type of Criminal Court why should it matter here?
