Title: my young cat, mixing it up
Post by: slick on April 27, 2011, 07:29:21 pm
He is now a couple of days off being eleven months old and has been on 20 or so pigs 3 of those he pulled up on his own.Normally a dog of mine would have seen alot more pigs by this age but the wet weather has really slowed things up. He is improving with every trip. He is a smidgen over 23" and about 51lb.

Hank pulled up his own out of a mob this morning. it was no monster but i was happy with his effort. My mates dog came in and sealed the deal before i got a chance for a shot with the .22

thanks guys, im very happy with him so far. he still has alot of maturing to do and still acts like a bit of a goose around home but switches once we get out into the woods. watching him starting to work out rig hunting has been rewarding also. im lucky this little apprentice has a couple of good teachers to learn from. the catch dog in that clip works from the rig better than most dogs i have seen and is known to go a few mile on a good whiff.

peachcreek, he is from a kennel over here called "Crazy Acres" his sire was basically a campawhile dog and his dam was an import from diamond w.

chainrated, thanks mate. i really like the black and tans too.
there are a number of us over here that are really impressed with what the cats offer as hunting dogs.
