Title: nice spotted boar Post by: dognhogs84 on May 10, 2011, 09:19:50 pm Me (twilbanks) and rance went out the other night hunted a few spots with sadly no luck, decided to head to one more spot. We were headed across a big hay meadow and decided to let my wind dog (cowboy) out and withing just a few mins he was bayed up in the middle of a herd of cattle on this spotted boar. Nothing big but it sure did scare me when my finished dog was in the middle of those cows barking......lol

A lot of the older, smarter hogs down in south Florida do the same thing... they'll lay up with the herd and as anyone that's been around cattle long knows... them cattle know when you're comin' in the gate before you do!!! ;D .... soon as them cows get to stirrin', that ol' hog is headed for the hills and you never knew he was there...
We do catch hogs right in the middle of 'em sometimes though, almost like they use the cattle for cover!
