Title: Nome Texas in the 50's Post by: djhogdogger on May 30, 2011, 01:26:23 pm I was looking at some old family photos and came across a couple that had a 50's east texas cur dog in them.
This was the cur dog that my mother grew up with. No pedigree, half hunting dog, half babysitter. Rowdy was his name. Just wanted to share. Hope yall enjoy. My grandmother with my aunt Marion, uncle Sonny, uncle Parker and Rowdy. Dogs were much more a part of everyday life back then. Makes me miss that time....I wasn't in TX, but life was the same here in Bama. Thanks for sharing.

Do u know them, or Jimbo? I was 19 yrs old and that was one of the best memories i have since i have had dogs. Now im strictly into hog dogs!

No, my mother spent most of her childhood in Nome but then they later moved to Spurger. So she may know them but I wouldn't. I was raised in Anahuac Tx. But I will ask her tomorrow. :) Title: Re: Nome Texas in the 50's Post by: YELLOWBLACKMASK on June 01, 2011, 11:22:01 pm If your mama spent some of her life in Spurger..ask if she new the Harolson Family.
