Ive met him before a long time ago on I45.  Luckly i was able to catch some hogs and return the money i spent on that dog i got from him.  Shortly after i culled the dog but tried his number several times.  No big deal, he will get it in return one of these days. 

Would be faster to post what he doesn't go by. ;)

well i was at a gas station here in point TX which is rains county!!! on hwy 69 goen to greenville. he seen me at the gas pump with dog box in the back of the truck, so i guess he thought he would whip right in and talk to me!!! i had no idea who the hell he was but like yall said he talked a real good game.

go to the house load up my dogs, always like to show off the pack ;D BAD IDEA!!! come back in to town and he is now where to be seen. well no big deal i was headed out to buy dog food so i went a head and went to greenville to tractor supply to do just that. well on my into town ole CLAUDE A.K.A ADAM waves me down pull into another gas station to shoot the number 2,  i still had no idea who he was...??? sit there talken hog doggen looken at my pack of dogs and he starts asking me if i wanted to sale any of them no not really but what are u interested in he says all of them!!!!! tries to offer my $100 bucks a pop for them >:( u talk about pissed off thats some disrespect like MOFO!!!! any how i hold my cool dnt know the guy maybe he is just BS. then he asks me if i ever get on ETHD and if so what did i go by i say yep i go by big chris, he says holly number 2 thats u? i say yep he tells me he goes by REHABHOGHUNTER!!!! dnt know but ok...

then he asks me what i want f or the vizsla male dog in the box so i tell him he can just have the dog!!! sorry if someone bought this dog but as far as i know the dog never even saw hog i had him for a month and never tried in the pen or anything... bout this time he gets a phone call from a buddy of his that posts on this forum and still does!!!! so do ur research.... they talk for a min and claude tells his buddy he is talking to me. i invite them both dwn for a hunt and they tell me to come dwn there for a hunt... well at this time my cousin rodger pulls up and ole claude decides he wants to go so we shake hands exchange numbers and part ways...

meet up with another buddy and start talking and tell him the story and he asks me if i seen a pic would i recognize the guy only been a cpl of hours so im sure i can he shows me the picture and i`ll be damn if it aint the same guy!!!

my buddy tells me him and his dad bought a pair of black and tans from him and the dogs aint worth a crap, another buddy of his had his dog stollen by claude, wemt to the bay pen talked toa cpl other folks that know that has some lead poison for him!!!! then when i posted my little pony for sale or trade he gets ahold of me and has a bada$$ dog he wants to trade me like that chit is gonna happen!!! said he was asking 700 for the BMC that was a 4 year old and wanted to know what else i had to trade for the dog, i can tell u this trade never went any where!!!! i still have the pony... all in all claude ard is a POS and i will never forget his face!!!!

claude got me good   i found him on baydog.com       he had a 4 year old yeller female that was the best dog that had ever hit east texas    told me his name was brent and dogs name was bell     we talked for several days       i desided to go meet him   met him in carthage at i think was DQ    anyways i should have none from looks of him he wasn't much a hog hunter       he told me his reason for selling dog was he needed money to buy a bad a$$ roping horse   anyway he had a good line of chit     said she hunted out 500 to 1000 yards was pretty gritty would role of after grab hog    had ran hogs for 4 and 5 hours none stop   and yal get the point    well i was stupid and in need of a good dog at the time so i got the dog   gave money up front but had two week trial    anyways that was a thursday and i hunted her that next sat    dropped out nf very fresh sign and she just looked at me other dogs went out bayed hog and she still wouldnt go    i called him right then  rang 4 or 5 time then i left him a message   called him about hour later and phone has been disconnected ever since     i still have the number and would LOVE to see him face to face one more time      i learned the hard way   but hope like hell it doesn't happen to any of yall that he hasn't already got        but what goes around comes around     his days coming

when i got dog       luckly i wrote is plate number down    so i searched him down to a town like salina or something like that    talked to cops and judge in that town     said that i could press charges but all they could do is stack them on top of all other charges   they said  nothing he did really broke the law   it just broke good ole country boys law   (which i thought was bull number 2)    the cops told me they had been trying everway they could to chrage him with something     they also said that he can't hide forever and someone would get him      i'm just that person if i could ever be in same place!!!!

Yall totall up how much he made off everyone next and tell me if he is not considered a con artist, maybe everybe needs to join together and file a class action suit against him

Geronimo, you're exactly right. In the last few years everyone has decided the need to buy a "finished" dog. A lot of those same people couldn't get a good dog to hunt anyways because they have never took the time to learn anything about hog hunting or training a dog. A lot of these dogs may be good dogs that are looking at their new owner like an idiot cause they won't get off their 4 wheeler or quit yelling "get ahead". To me, he doesn't even sound like much of a crook. Just someone else that has learned how to legally capitalize off of stupid people. I know Claude's family and they've been hunting hogs with dogs way before a lot of those guys were born much less hog hunting. Not taking up for him but Claude knows more about dogs than the people trying to buy them.

A person who hasn't trained or rode a horse much doesn't need to go out and buy the most expensive horse and think they'll be able to ride like a pro in a couple of weeks. And I wouldn't go buy a motorcycle and think that in 2 weeks I'll be the next Evil Kenevil. These are dogs out of the same blood lines that have been around since our great gandpa's were doin' it. The only thing that has changed is the hunters.

What is a man's word worth?  Dog knowledge or not, if the guy gives a trial on his word, then he does not honor a trial, how can it be the fault of the buyer, or their lack of hunting knowledge? It amazes me that people don't put any value on a man's word anymore....

I never said I was taking up for him or liked him. I'm just trying to encourage everyone to have a little common sense about buying a dog. I agree 100% that a man's word should be written in stone. My great grandpa always said if you told someone you were going to beat their @$$ you better be doin' it. Sure he is a crook and yes he tried to sell me a mule but I had way better sense than to hand over my money to someone just because of what they said. The fact is, he sold you a dog. You both agreed on a price and the transaction was made. You would waste time and money trying to go to court. It all could have been avoided by doing a little homework. Learn from your mistakes and find someone that's been at it longer than you have and learn from them.

  A man like Claude is able to screw over so many people just because people still want to believe that a mans word means something.  Nowadays you cant trust someone as far as you can throw em.  There are still good people out there but it just seems like they are few and far between.  And regardless of how much knowledge someone has about what they are buying, if you sell them something that is not exactly like you say it is then you are a crook.  No other way around it.

i been hunting and training my own dogs for 20 yrs and i take a man at his word . we made a deal with a trial and he didnt hold up to his end when i wanted to bring the dog back . and as far as knowing how to hunt i got dog i raised from pups that hunt just fine the dog was a POTLICKER 

Well he put an add on here looking for a young dog I called him and told him that I had a dog that had a chip knocked off his hip but would try and go! Did not who he was he came  to my house got the dog and left told me his name was John Myers! A week later I get a call from a guy saying he had one of my dogs and was wanting to no something about him it through me for a loop because I usally expose of all culls and never get rid of any dogs! After talking figured out this was the dog John Myers got!! The guy said he wanted $1000 for him as a finished cow dog! He put alot of training on him in a week for a finished cow dog!lol  Neches I have been cowboying and hog hunting all my life and that guy John Myers AKA Cluade Ard would not no a good dog  if it landed in is lap! I visited with him and after he left I told my wife what an idiot I wish I would have just done away with that pup!
He made me decide to never give a dog away to anyone that I don't personally know or choose expose of the dog!
I never sale any dogs and he sure as hell ain't going to sale mine!

Man this is hiting the web like crazy.  Its going on the parker boards too.  I saw the first part of the video on Dr Phil.com and couldnt help but laughing my butt off.  Not knowing the man or his dealings after reading this thread and then watching it "im not here to talk about my job, im here to talk about the cheating, or ill walk off the stage now".  Think hes a lil scared of the details of his "job" coming out?

But has anyone had any dealing with a john myers who did not resemble this Claude Ard fella? I am just trying to figure this out. I heard about a guy that contacted a mod here  who claimed to be the real Claude Ard but said there was a john myers who used the name Claude Ard to jack people. Trying to see if now that we have a photograph we can post, we can figure this out once and for all.

I was just about believing that the real Claude Ard was a victim of this john myers. Are yall saying that according to your own individual dealings that the two are the same as the man on Dr Phil?

i also know of this guy he took me for 1500 on a supposed to be fineshed bmc male the dog wudnt even go to a bay andwasnt worth 100 dollarsi gave him a check to hold which he cashed the same day and disconnected his number he went by john myers and drove i beleive a older green dodge extended cab and i met him at the dq in carthage tx me and my buddies have tried our damnest to track the guy down i hope i see him face to face one more time

I think he changes phones pretty regular after he picked my dog up then tried to sale him his phone did not work a week later! Prepaid or what! But whats funny is if he gets on here so much and watchs what is being said about him then why don't he try and defend hisself!

There have been enough folks on here to say that the guy on Dr Phil proclaimed to be John Myers that I am pretty convinced. I think the fella on Dr Phil, Claude Ard, and John Myers are all the same person. It's easy to hide behind a blocked number or to get your buddy to pretend to be John Myers, but when folks see a photo and can ID you as both John Myers and Claude Ard (plus a handful of other aliases) then I think it is pretty black and white. Old fella should have thought about repercussions to begin with, not gripe and moan because now people think he's a crook. He just rode his horse to death and now he's having to ride a jackass is all. No offense to the jackass, of course.

I will make sure that this thread doesn't go away even if I have to bump it up every day or two. People need to be informed...

The guy that called said he lived in Cathrage! The  John Myers guy who came got the dog said he lived in Sour Lake as far as an adress no I do not no where any of them live! The John Myers guy came to my house stayed less than 10 minutes and left!

It really should not be that hard. On Dr. Phil, they admitted they recently got legally divorced. That means there is a public record. Do a search in different counties. They admitted they still lived together. Goodness people, use your brains for another thing besides ways to "DUTCH OVEN" your spouses.   ;D

Well I talked to a guy today that told me about this thread on here and I be danged his name to me is Brent Amos.  There is another guy that lives close to me that he got to with the same story about the roping horse.  I tracked him down and got my money.  I no that t.wilbanks on here has had some dealings with him too.

Im sorry it was not brent amos it was brent alex.....and my brother in law had a dealing with him too....he claimed to be a preacher but when my brother in law post dated the check for two weeks because of the two week trial he called and cussed him out and made him pull over because he wanted the dog back..

yes 100 %    after he disconnected his number he gave me   i searched his liscense plate down to claude ard     but about far as i ever got   couldnt ever get accurate address   i sure want one tho  of to find a dog he has posted and let me go meet him    he would be really surprised at what i got to offer him

Only reason I got my money was because I found out he was coming to a guys house close to where I ive so I made a surprise visit and we made a trip to the atm.  I no a guy that knows where he lives but dont no if he would give that info up but mite if he saw all this.

  Anyway, ended up meeting him in wal mart parking lot in livingston, and tradin dogs, he told me only thing wrong with her was she was gun shy, I said no problem, i dont hunt with a gun.  I figured i might have got burnt, but didnt want to haul those 3 back.

Continued.............Any how its kind of funny now, cause I guess I got lucky and actually got a decent dog, he must have sold those help dogs for big money, but they were young and could actually still make good dogs, they just didnt get out and hunt to suit me.  The funny part is i was just thinkin bout a month ago after i had got to hunt her a few times, how honest the guy was,  rolleyes.

In the defense of all that got burnt by him, this feller is good at what he does, im talkin smooth, i thought he was a super nice feller, set and talked to him about 45 mins or longer, real easy goin, i would have never thought of him as a dog peddlin, lyin, cheat.

jkforrest told me that he got her from the pound, so i dont know if she is even a full cat, tho i had my doubts at first glance, so know im not 100% sure if i want to breed her or not.

All I know is she works hard, wont run a deer, and can and will find and bay a hog, so im happy with her.
Just thought this was all very interesting, and how everything all started adding up, and now i know a little more background on her, and who i got her from. He even invited me back to hunt anytime, lol said he hunted alot in Jackson MS too.

hell claude ard met me with a guy named marvin haight marvin was makin a deal with me. and his buddy "john" (claude) was dealing with my brother. we gotr burned pretty good. i posted on here about it a while back. soon as i did claude ard called me (private number) and said that he has a lawsuit pending for ethd using his name (pretty sure its a load of bull number 2) and for me to delete it or mike would ban me...im still here. i appoligize if im wrong but im guessing that he was full of number 2 when he told me that...am i wrong?

Charles, claude could be the god father of dog peddlers. I've heard a lot of stories about ole marvin. One of the best dogs I've owned came from marvin and I only spent 50 bucks on him. But he was asking more for the dog. I guess I got lucky I knew a guy who personally knew him and got a heck of a deal.

This guy that claimed to be Marvin haight eventually admitted that he  made 100 to get rid of this cull. Plus what ever he got they split. Was young and dumb i know now that i should have seen the dog hunt first but would still like to get my hands on the dude

Better yet, with all the information out there concerning dog deals gone bad how in the world are people still buying UNKNOWN dogs from UNKNOWN people in UNKNOWN places??  There are probably more posts on this board about dogs deals gone south than there are about how to worm a dog and yet people are still buying.  Personally, if I knowingly put myself into a position to be taken advantage of and it happens, then I'm probably going to blame myself more than anyone else.

This was the first finished dog I had ever bought, no one I knew was selling a finished dog right now and I needed a dog quick , I do blame myself for this stupid move , and a hard lesson learned. He gave me a false name . But this guy needs to be stopped ! Would you agree ? He will also steal your dogs out of your dog box at gas stations, grocery stores ect. If you leave your truck. I have even had ppl msg me and tell me he has stole dogs right out of woods hunting, so it's not just ppl buying dogs from ppl they don't know, it's for trying to stop a thief / scam artist . Put yourself in other ppls shoes. And think how it would feel of he stole one of your dogs and sold it to someone all in the same week ?

I didn't say what was done was okay....but I DID say it can (and should) be avoided.  That is all.

Claude Ard got me good to about 6yrs ago, said his name was Rex Helper, same ol story good solid finished dog, met him in mt. Pleasant tx, no tags on his truck, like a dumba$$ gave him $1000 for a male ybmc, said he was selling out and had to move. When I drove off with the dog I forgot to ask him if the dog had been on any heart worm meds, within 5 minutes the number I had been talking to him on was disconnected!!! Long story short dog would not even bark at a hog, much less go hunting. Lesson learned

ASK FOR A PHOTO COPY OF HIS ELECTRIC BILL. SOMETHING. ANYTHING. GET HIM TO STIPULATE THE TERMS OF YOUR AGREEMENT AND THE DETAILS OF THE DOG IN QUESTION ON PAPER AND SIGN IT. ONCE YOU HAND HIM YOUR MONEY HE HAS A 100% CHANCE OF DRIVING OFF AND NEVER BEING SEEN AGAIN. BE PREPARED.

A two week trial means nothing legally. He could give you a nine year trial if he already has your money and doesn't plan on answering your calls anymore. Without a contract and a receipt . . the courts are powerless to do anything for you. If you go to the dog sales board on this site you will find a half dozen people who have been members of this site for less than a month and in that time have made zero posts in the discussion area but have already posted multiple dogs for sale. It is likely that 2 or 3 of these members are Claude Ard or some other crook. Buyer Beware!

The first time I saw where Claude Ard screwed someone out of money I was pretty upset what he had done...but over the years he has gotten away with screwing so many folks that it is almost legendary...I think the first time I would try to screw someone on a dog deal I probably would get my butt shot or at least whipped...this man is as sorry as they come and he just keeps on doing what he does...we all have heard of a pup being so ugly it is cute...well Claude is so sorry it is almost amusing and if they made a movie about him and how he screws everyone it would probably sell especially if they put in that part about when he went on The Dr. Phil show...

I would bet that if you showed up in his town with shirts made with his picture on it and that he riped you off written on it he would show up real fast. Then no need to go find him.Just put that facts on a shirt. Then when he start making threats you can defend yourelf.

I don't care if someone was dumber than dirt (not saying anyone is) that does not make it right to take advantage of them. Some of the nicest people I have met would be easy to take advantage of. Then when someone does they aren't as nice any more.

Well I don't know him. But I tell all my boys, "don't say or do anything you don't want on the front page of the news paper." Now I hope that all this ain't true. Anybody like what I read would be in a bad way that I would not wish on anyone. He has to look at himself in the mirror. If he thinks he feels good about what he has done then he is in need of more help than Dr Phil can give. That emptiness can't be filled with money, women or anything else he can take. I saw that he don't care about his wife or kids. He ca argue all day about dogs, horses or whatever. But Claude I saw that video. Character takes a lifetime to earn and less than a second to give away. If you were married and cheated. You did not just cheat on your wife. You cheated on eveyone that was at your wedding. You cheated on your children. You made that vow to your wife and God so you cheated on God too. So I don't need to now about dogs or horses. That is like worring about a sneeze when a man a pneumonia. Got news for you most people when their name comes up the board does not light up like this. Then to threaten people for talking about what happened to them? Maybe one day you will grow up. But sounds like you need to go find God. I found God in a cow pasture not in a church. Because I was looking for God and if you look for God it don't matter where you look you will find God. Only God can fill that empty hole in your gut. But it don't sound like you are looking to me. If you are then I recomend finding a strong Christian and have a real come to Jesus talk. Try talking to Jesus instead of Dr Phil.

BTW when you talked in that video to Dr Phil you sounded like a man with a paper @$$hole in a forest fire. I thought it was funny when you tucked your tail and ran from Dr Phil. Maybe you should man up and take responsibility for your own choices and actions. Jesus can forgive you but the Bible makes it clear that you still have to answer on earth for what you have done too.

Dallas if you like to read id suggest reading this whole thing. I did a long time ago and man this guy has burned alot of folks. If you don't want to read it....hes a dog peddler that has lied and lied and stole and stole. Lol. It's a wonder hes still above ground.

Lol  yea i think i had a claude ard type fella text me out of nowhere  the other day tell me he had some jam up dogs for sale but couldn't tell me how they hunted.

He just tied to screw me AGAIN !!! On a couple dogs . If anyone needs to contact him . He has two yellow dogs in the back of his truck right now . These are JAM up dogs now !!! Did karma finally catch up to ol' Claude? He sure screwed a bunch

I had posted in the dog trade a week or so ago that I was looking for some yellow BMC dog to buy , Finished , started or what ever . " will only buy finished or started dogs in the woods now ! Unless it's from someone I know & trust , Due to being screwed over on a dog a couple years ago from Claud Ard " at the time I didn't know about this guy Claud Ard" if you read back on this thread you can see all about the sour deal . So on with this story , Monday night about 9:00 I get a phone call , And I'll be darned if it wasn't Claud Ard ! I still had his Phone number programed in my phone !! Thinking to my self , What in the world does this idiot want ? So I answered, he asked me if I was still looking for some dogs ? I replied, yes I am . So then he goes on with same ole bull crap story that he got me with the first time except he had one started dog and one finished dog that he would sell me for $2000 on two week trial, I'm still thinking to my self at this time " Does this idiot really not know who I am??? And that he screwed me out of $800 on a dog two years ago ?? Really ???so after going along like I had no clue who he was , I proceeded to tell him yea I'll take them as long as I get a trial on the dogs . He said ok sounds good , I'll send you some pics of the dogs . The next morning he sent me pics of both cur gyps . So I called him and we set up a time and place to meet , Thursday at 5:00 in Palestine Texas . He then went on telling me that he would only take CASH on his dogs and NO checks !! He made this very clear! Then yesterday I get a call from him saying that something came up and that he could not meet me Thursday and asked if I could meet him that day in Crockett Texas ? I said sure but you'll have to wait until 7:00 . He agreed ! . He asked what I would be driving , I told him , Then I asked him what he would be driving, He paused for a few seconds and the told me either a black dodge dually or a silver dodge dually . So as 5:00 rolled around I text him to let him know I was headed his way , he responded " K Buddy I'm leaving now myself . I would text him every now and then letting him know I was getting closer , as we were meeting up in Walmart parking lot in Crockett . Well getting closer to Crockett about 15 mins away I called and told him I had a flat and was on the side of the road with some help changing a spare tire . For the next hour I Pulled his leg about how the spare had hardly any air and I was having to dog leg there from gas station to gas station getting air . I then told him I was at the shell station down the road from Walmart , he said ok I'll drive to you Buddy I think I know which gas station your at . When he got to the gas station , he called me and asked where I was , I then told him left and was headed to Walmart now to get some tire slime or fix it flat , he said ok I'll meet back at Walmart then " I was still thinking to myself " This idiot still has no clue as he is driving around Crockett trying to get a $2000 payday ! Lol ! When he got to Walmart he called me again and said he was there . I told him I was in Walmart getting the tire slime and I'll be out in a min , he said ok buddy . By this time I couldn't resist any more . I called him back and said " Hey I'm in line here still , do you need any KY Jelley ? They have some on sale !!! He said " WHO IS THIS !!!??? I then let him know who I was ! And told him he shove those dogs up his a#% !!! I then told him what I thought about him in a nice way ! I started asking him ?s about all the ppl he's screwed over the years , all he would say after that is " I don't Know what you are talking about " then he hung up the phone I tried calling back and he would not answer! A couple more calls to him and he had turned his phone off by then . I believe he drove about 2 hours from his house to make this deal ! So after he would answer his phone anymore , I opened the dog box and finished my hunt in the woods " 2 1/2 hours from Crockett Texas " . So at the end of the day at least I sent him on a wild goose chase and made him burn some of his fuel & time ! Lol .. Not really worth $800 but it will do !  True story . And you better believe he will be reading this ! CLAUD ARD is on the move again !

There's a lot more small details to the story , I'm just not a very good writer ! Lol . Sorry . I would have loved to meet up with him !! I just did not need to end up spending the rest of my life in prison ! I called a lot of different law enforcement in the area at the time this was going on , there are some other details on that issue that I can not share details about , due to on going investigations with him. But they are getting closer to putting this COWARD behind bars ! Shouldn't be long now .

I was had by a guy, not this one, and he was from temple and his buddy was from Victoria, supposedly... The one from temple was short fat white guy and his bud from Victoria was slim Hispanic looking fella. Anyway this was about 2 years ago, I had a pretty good 2yr old about to make a hand and she was kinda inconsistent and I didn't give her enough time so I thought I wanted to sell her and get another dog, well this fella finds my lost and says I've got a dog I'll trade you for your dog and feeds me a line of number 2 and I think its the dog  I want. Well I meet them both and trade dogs and we agree that if the dog doesn't work out for me or vice versa, we would return dogs no questions asked... Well you know the rest of the story I got a dog that wouldn't bark at a hog if Its life depended on it. And they would never return my dog so I culled theirs and took the loss. But wait it gets better.... I later find my dog that he has, for sale on bay dog.com for 1000 bucks where I had originally asked 750....
Anyways the dogs name is Molly she's a light yella brindle cur gyp that would now be around 4-5 years old if any one sees this and has her or know who has her; I'd just like to know how she's doing. I sure do miss her she was ruff as a Cobb and would go find one. ...

Didn't mean to get off topic just wanted to get that out there. I hate a dog peddler and if you 2 daddy didn't marry mommys ever read this I hope we have the opportunity to settle up one day cuz I sure would like to

Dont believe they are related. Ive never hunted with him but i know a couple folks that do, i dont believe he is the type to screw someone but ya never can tell. Hell send gary a message on fb, he can verify.
