Title: If you could Post by: Cutter Bay Kennels on June 10, 2011, 07:42:42 am If you could add one dog to your pack, and that is the only dog you could add for the next 4 years, what breed or cross would it be (BMC, Walker, Catahoula, Bluetick, Dogo, Pit x Plott, and so on)?
Remember, this would be the only dog you could add for the next 4 years. It would have to fit or compliment what you already own. I can't wait to see these responses. 8) Title: Re: If you could Post by: T-Bob Parker on June 10, 2011, 08:23:15 am A totally track silent bloodhound greyhound bmc cross that way it could take a 16 hour track, run any hog out of breath , work it from the head and catch on command ;)

Serious question. I'll answer to set the way. Title: Re: If you could Post by: BarrNinja on June 10, 2011, 08:28:55 am It must be getting really hot in Florida! Lol
Title: Re: If you could Post by: Cutter Bay Kennels on June 10, 2011, 08:28:56 am I'd like to try a full blooded dogo. I have some great trail/bay dogs, and a nice young gritty cur. I'd like to add a nice catch dog to the pack.

Which window do I pick her up at? :D If you'd lay Mean Girl up for a while, you might just get the female BMC you've been looking for. ;) Title: Re: If you could Post by: T-Bob Parker on June 10, 2011, 09:41:06 am Thanks, but I fairly serious, If I could hypothetically Frankenstein a dog together for the next 4 years that's what id do. But I'll try all kinds of crazy mutts to catch hogs with, heck, I even grabbed a couple loud mouthed blueticks a few days ago.
If the ticks work well, maybe they'll be my 4 year plan. Oh wait I'm about to add one to my pack just as soon as she comes in just need the right cd to breed her to.
Title: Re: If you could Post by: crackerc on June 10, 2011, 11:12:51 am It would be a small 45 lb or so, light built, quick, heat tolerant female Fla cur. Gritty but not catchy, good nose and fast. I keep looking, just haven't found one I like yet! My dogs are too big (at about 60 lbs) to be able to take the heat. I would like a smaller dog so I can hunt some in the summer......hopefully.
Title: Re: If you could Post by: SCHitemHard on June 10, 2011, 11:18:48 am Ridgeback/Dogo cross that can talk, and walks up to the hog and tosses some hobbles at it and says climb in

Title: Re: If you could Post by: FLBayNSlay on June 12, 2011, 12:58:55 pm I would like a GO YONDER, free cast anywhere and go find a HOG, Full blooded Cat or BMC. Dead Silent until looking at the hog with a lot of bottom. Even if they yip I would be content. Had enought sense to Catch anything under 100 and bay anything RANK! Handles great and walks on a leash perfect, will relay if more hogs are around. My pack suits me well for now but my lead dog is gettin sum age on him. I would like to find one similar to him or better! I guess thats more like a X-Mas list LOL
