I've heard all I can stand about the yellow black mouth dog superiority in the hog hunting industry. 
And how other hog dog colors wont cut it.  I believe its time to put up or shut up.  A friendly competion is a good way to earn the braggin rights.  I'm calling the yellow black mouth dogs out.  Any time, any where.  Rules are already set.  Straight yellow black mouth dogs, no other dog colors at least 5 generations back and black mask up to the eyes, versus all other hog dog colors .  Woods competition, pen competitions, futurities, what ever they want, my dogs are ready.  Troops we need to rally together.  Enough is enough.  Comments are welcomed. 

*I raise yellow dogs but not all of them have black mask and I've taken harsh critisism, from close friends, about their looks.  I desire the hunt gene in my dogs before the color gene.  Its hard to judge a dog on his looks when he's out hunting and not standing under my feet.  This post is not directed at any one person, its just to let them know that our dogs have rights to.

WOW Chance what has got in to you lol I love it bro, well as you no buddy all my dogs are the perfect color lol don't have any without a black mask and really don't have no brindle dogs  ;). I do agree with you about the color I love a yellow dog, I have about 9 yellers but most don't have a mask I will be the first to tell you that color don't find hogs. ;)

So are you wanting to hunt against black mouth curs in general or just the ones with the pretty black mask. Mine are 100% BMC but my 2 main dogs don't have any black on there face at all

Kind of a bold call out. All my yellas r just yellas. Two have good masks but not up to their eyes. I actually don't like that but I have seen em do just as good as other yellas and coloreds. I prefer bmc but my main pack is mixed up colors. Black and tan. Catahoula spotted mix. Catahoula. Redbone.  Ill hint em with anyones dogs and I already have a book of excuses if someone else's dogs find one before mine. So lets compete lol

 I agree with the statement that color don't hunt. That would be like saying that buckskin horses make better roping horses or that catahoulas that have blue eyes are better than ones with brown eyes.
 
 But I do think that guys like to have a "pretty" pack of dogs.  Me, I could care less what color they are.

well idk about pretty .... if that sucker was blue red pink an purple an would run find an bay his own hog i'd own him an be proud to own him i personally think if everyone on this site got together an hunted one of these competions ... the best dogs would never win ... everyone has there own style on type an own breed they like some like catahoulas some like plotts walkers ect. i prefer yellow black mouth cur dogs ... but i've owned them all an had some lemons of every breed ... they are what you make of them ... JMO

To all the people that have a strait Yeller dog that just can't stand to look at em anymore. Text me your pics of them precious angels and I will replace each one with a contemporary one of a kind brindle dog. No questions on where the brindle dog comes from since yall aint worried about looks or background. It is a sad day in America when we have to pay high gas prices, curse John Wayne, and sell out Yellowblackmouth dogs.

If I've heard the straight yellow dog people correctly, then the criteria for a true yellow black mouth is a dog that has a black mouth.  Not just a black nose but a black mouth.  Not the inside of the mouth but the outside of the mouth, the muzzle.  Smokey does not have a black mouth.  He is yellow but no black mouth.  The Cutter dog that belongs of an OKIE friend of mine, is yellow with no black mouth.  Those two would be on the colored dog team. Ironically, I've been told that smoke and cutter didn't fit the breed stock criteria for the yellow black mouth standards.  But when the hunt starts the yellow dog team wants them on their team.  Not worthy enough to breed to but can't find a hog without them. 

*Again, this post is not directed at any one person, just fighten for the rights of our dogs.  I want the public to know that there are good hog dogs that are not yellow black mouthed in color.

I think you need to read your not getting the point its a challenge with all color dog and solid yellow or little black against the perfect yellow dog with a black mask that goes back to there eyes, not cat vs ybm or hounds vs rbm cur he is just making a point that thay don't have to be perfect to find hogs.

I would like to see a 100% pure BMC vs 100% pure Catahoula hunt this year. I'd be game to take a drive down south for a hunt like that. It would be a put up or shut up hunt on some neutral ground.

Ohhh no my brother... the mood has already been set and we are all in for hurricane force winds and rains with a slight chance of meatballs. I am attempting to salvage my partner and get him back to normal. Don't worry Chance gets this way sometimes and we gotta rehabilitate him ever so often. I am thinking medication is the solution this time......I am worried...He has never gone this far before...... :'(

Don't worry fella's I went directly to STRIKEDOGKENNELS house and found out what the problem was. He was stressing over a litter of black and tan pups that he is trying out. When I found him he was walking in circles out in the yard babbling something about camo...brindle....black-n-tan....Catahou.....And thats when I stopped him. (It was painful to watch guys not funny at all) 

I pulled him into the shade and immediatly began an IV with Yellow Koolaide. After a matter of minutes he was up walking, talking and feeling good about himself again. Also be looking for him to post all those black-n-tan and brindle stuff on the Dog trade subsequently!! ;)

See, there it is again, criticism of my pack.  Yeah, that litter is out of a black and tan gyp and a yellow, with no black mouth, male dog.  Every pup is red with black mouths.  Out of proven parents, parents who made it through the cull process.  When they come of hunting age, Ill match them against any litter of yellow black mouth pups of the same age.  The best of the litter wins. 

*The gyp with the pups is out of straight rbm dogs, she just came out black and tan and she works.  This post is not directed at any one person.  This is posted to gain braggin rights for hog dogs of color.

OK, I've taken a chill pill.  To help with my nerves I think I'll go to the dog trade page and find me a brindle dog to buy.

Myles you and ol chance are as good as brothers to me but I think he is about to blow a gasket you may need to let this one go, but I no you to good brother give you a stick and you'll keep poking the bear in the azz lol But he does live very close to you and you may be having some breed gyps out of the deal you may get all the color you don't want.

Already ahead of ya bro. All my Yeller gyps are wearing Chastity belts. Chance was over here a little while ago and he kept trying to walk them colored dogs a little to close to my kennel. I am tellin ya he means to pollute the watering hole. I had to get my eight year old to stand guard with a deer leg to keep them brindle dogs attention diverted. 

Well all I got to say is y'all get this over before y'all come up in july we okies don't want drama and when you come up ill take you on a little brindale and all yellow no black mask hog hunt if need be you can set in the truck and imagine that my dogs are the perfect color if that works for you   :P INTERNET BULLY  ;)

Do y'all have any idea how stupid this post is? Why is it a big deal if someone likes yellow black mouth dogs? I have passed up over 20 other dogs that would probly hunt harder because I wanted a real good lookin yellow black mouth dog. I've even given away finished brindle dogs cause they make my yard look ugly. Of course its about looks. I can make a poodle, pug, teacup yorkie... whatever hunt hogs. The fact is any other dog is undeniably ugly. What you need to be calling out is the owners of the dogs and who can train one and who thinks the only way to get a good dog is to buy a finished brindle or whatever color dog. My best hunting dog is mostly white without a spot of black anywhere on him. His dad was a big yellow black mouth and that's the only reason I keep him. Whenever I get around to breeding him I'm going to cull everyone that's not yellow with a black mouth. I have never bragged that a ybm dog was better but I will gladly boast that I know a thing or two about training one because I have put in way more than my share of time training them and hunting with old timers and learning everything I possibly can. I have taken many dogs that others were going to cull and made a good dog out of them. Feed what you want, hunt how you want, bragg about whatever you want but don't start crap with people that know what they like.

YBM thanks for the yellow stained sun shades you left.  I let the wife throw them away.  I see that while my back was turned some shots have been taken.  Let me address them now:
1)We all know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  But just as you yellow stained folks are protective of your dogs, those of us who own hog dogs of different colors are just as proctective of ours.
2)If the dogs you all defend are so elite, then why has this call out hit so hard?  Just a friendly question.
3)Ironheadknls thanks for the offer man I'll stop buy a couple days a week to pet one.

Dude, I'm your friend and I'll stick with you, but let me say, You went from poking a bear with a stick to to stepping in den of rattlesnakes.  Those catahoula folks are a different breed.  In my neck of the woods, there is a difference between a leopard colored dog and a catahoula.  I think me and ol' YBM are gonna smoke the peace pipe today and pray for the safety of our friend in Oklahoma.

Your neck of the woods is my neck of the woods. And in my woods a catahoula, leopard and brindle are the exact same!!
