He grows a summer and a fall garden. I wish I knew how. :( My hats off to people who have this tallent. Nice garden Oly. I may give it another try but I will wait till we are having a year with more rain. :)

I just got fed up paying ridicules amounts of money for stuff I could with a little effort grow myself, prices of vegetable has gone redicules arnd here, so I started researching it and practicing, I have a few improvements I will be doing for next year’s garden, BUT so far so good. The easiest way to grow especially in these hot states we live in is using Grow boxes/earth boxes they have their own hydrating system they are easy and cheap to build and they last you forever ones you get them built. I have had to water quit a lot with this drought; I should have made them deeper--- hind sight is 20/20 they say, LOL, I am happy even though improvements can be made. Thank you for the complements, I am quite excited and happy about them and the fact I have already saved over $100 in less then a month at the market makes me even happier. I do not get so much I have to preserve yet, I normally share with the neighbors to keep them happy and it works well. I do want to learn how to preserve a bit for rainy days. I remember having to go out every morning and pick it whether we needed it or not because it can not ripen on the plant. If it does it quits producing okra. My Dad told me, "you probably got some tobacco worms on them plants". I told him, naw I have looked at them good and there ain't no worms on the plants.
He was at my house two or three days later and picked five big worms off of ten plants. They are heck to see, the best camoflauge I have ever seen on an animal. LOL They look exactly like a tomatoe vine. Get a chair and sit down and study the plant, one branch at a time and I bet you will find some.
