 I just had my feelings hurt very badlly. Im pretty thick skinned but this reallly got to me. I was told that I act too much like a guy and that all I do is guy stuff. Just because I love to hunt, rope, get dirty and do outdoors stuff. It made me take a hard look at who I really am and Ive decided that maybe Im not your average girl but I cant change who I am and what I like. But never the less, now the comment is stuck in my head and I feel really bad about myself now.

i thank yur a great person and who cares what other people thank. there just jelouice cause they cant live yur life style or have the things you have. they probly live a boreing life. keep yur head up and doing what you love to do. god made you that way.

 Thanks guys. I guess I posted on here hoping to see if Im ok or if I needed to change myself. I just don't think that I would be happy if I tried to be someone Im not.

I could be wrong, but i bet another gal said that to yoU,,, regardless,,, i've watched you post on here for the short time i've been on this board and I'll say your Husband did VERY well latching on to you!
Also, guys would 99.99% rather hangout with an outdoors  gal who can rope, ride and tie hogs, then talk sports in your spare time than some girly girl that's scared she's gonna break a dang nail or scared to go outside cuz she may sweat!
Girly girls are so intimidated by outdoorsy gals cuz they KNOW who the guys would rather be around  so they try to plant a little seed of doubt,, don't change a thing about who you are or wat you do
Last,, outdoorsy women CAN be feminine, feminine women can NEVER be outdoorsy!!!

Dinah my wife is they same as you except for horses she is scared to death of them but she is a tomboy to the bone and would rather hang with guys over chicks because she say chicks are to much drama!Dont worry about what anyone else says as long as your happy with your self just be you.

I am the same way tomboy all the way.  I think I would rather clean out dog pens than go to the mall or go shopping with a bunch of girls.  Don't change who you are AT ALL there isn't that many of us as it is.  I hope your weekend gets better.

You know I would say that whoever said that was jealous. I believe in being true to yourself. My wife is just the opposite and girls pick on her. So who cares what people say. No matter what mean people will be mean. I think there is a song about mean people. rolleyes I say there are men that like every kind of woman and there are mean women that pick on every kind of woman. So keep on doing what you want because at least you are not mean.

If you are happy with yourself and your Husband is happy with you that it dont matter what anyone else thinks or says.

 Thank you all for cheering me up. I feel much better now. Yall sure know how to pick a girls spirits up. Im not usually a whine bag, but I guess everyone gets down sometimes. Even though I haven't met a lot of you, I feel like Ive known yall forever.  One more reason I love ETHD.

Being the only girl with three older brothers, I was treated like one of the boys and I love to hunt, weld, woodwork and work with horses and I am proud to be a country girl.  Your posts reflect a great sense of humor and a good person.  Besides the persons who told you that may be close but not a friend.   

Someone close to you? Then you ain't got to track em down. ;D I treat people like that like a bad dog. I don't even make eye contact and can't hear them. It us funny how well it works.

Dinah, I have to say you are a very positive person from all your posts on here, you can't be as good of people as you are if there was something wrong with you. It aint about you its about the other person needing some of your positivety.

I know plenty of my family don't like the way I was most of my life. That feeling is kinda of mutual, I don't live my life to please them, you only get one shot at it this life, its mine to live the way I want and yours to live the way you want and if someone that is close to you is trying to tell you different, change you, or take away any of your happiness, they is either jealous, hurting on the inside, on drugs, or something wrong to make them want to strike out at you that way, so maybe you should turn the other cheek, and let them know you feel sorry for them but when they are down and need you, maybe you might still be here for them. If they keep on hurting you, maybe its time to send them on down the road until they can find a little better attitude.

Dinah, from what I've seen and read of you on here,...I have surmised this about you....you conduct yourself with dignity and character.....2 traits that are hard to find in folks these days it seems. I figured that it was someone close to you because it got to you so good. Seems to me that you are a good woman and a great wife.....James is a lucky guy and I'm fairly sure he knows that. Apologize to no one.....you are who you are.....simple as that.

My wife does not hog hunt. She is very close minded. I'd love to change her, but that is not possible. It's taken me many years to grasp the concept that we are all individuals. God has wired us all differently. Who am I to question God's intentions?

I've never used a cur to train any of my dogs to hunt hogs or any other game for that matter. That I can promise you.    ;D

However, I can't say the opposite truthfully.  ;)

My little girl got second place in a calf roping one time. And the boy that beat her waved the buckle at her when he rode by. She hollered back "want to arm wrestle  for it" he duck his head and rode on. I swore if I had girls they would be feminine and boys would be boys .That didn't work out. I could not love them more for what they are. And everybody knows they are mine. It's either how you where raised or it's just in you.  The ones that really matter in life will know this.

My Ol lady hunts with me, holds the dogs while I sew em up, shines the light while I cut the boars, feeds the dogs, she don't rope but she's at every ropin I go to and usually has my horses brushed and saddled, plays in the mud, baits trotlines... Just a good friend and partner she loves doin that kinda stuff and I feel fortunate to have such a relationship and any other guy should too, Ur husbands lucky to have u I'd say and i wouldn't change for nobody long as Ur happy $&@! On em ;D

My wife hunts with me, takes care of dogs and helps me doctor, can cut up a hog, helps me work on vehicles and who knows what else.  I wouldn't trade her for anything.  If somebody don't like it screw em'.

sure hope my khloe grows up ta be as punchy as you! I like the ladies in the woods
