Title: LOST A GOODUN BOYS Post by: LionandBoarHunter on July 15, 2011, 02:17:34 pm I LOST MY JET DOG LAST NIGHT HE WAS TRULY A ONE OF A KIND DOG 2 BEST DOG I HAVE EVERY HAD SEEN AND HUNTED WITH THERES BEEN A MANY OF PEOPLE HUNT WITH THIS DOG AND KNOWS THE CALIBER OF DOG HE WAS THIS DOG IS ONE THAT CAUGHT 99% OF THE HOGS HE STARTED IT DID MATTER HOW BAD HOW MUCH THEY WANTED TO RUN HE WOULD GET THEM BAY PERIOD HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED HERE AT MY KENNELS PEACE OUT BUDDY

Ol Jet had more bottom than probably any dog i've ever hunted behind. When the other dogs were falling out of the race, Jet kept burning up the track... no matter how many miles it took him. Jet was a fine dog, of the caliber I suspect most will never have the pleasure of hunting behind. Hope the others heal up, and try to fill the hole that Jet has left.

When I finaly made it down to Jesse Paul he had already cared Jet up that cliff for about 80 yards. We both sat there looking at him knowing there was not much either of us could do. Jesse talk to Jet just like he was one of his girls.I tried to talk as positive as I could but as we all know at a time like that aint much can be said. The other boy that was with us showed up after about 20 minutes and helped care him out. Old Jet was not ready to give up yet and neither was Jesse Paul.They got him to get truck and away we flew.down thoughs rock roads.Got to the Vets office I think around 2:45 am(now that is a heck of a vet to get a call at that time of morning)The vet did every thing he could but he had lost too much blood.

You always think that you have a sure nuff good dog/dogs in your kennels but once you stepped into JETS world it was time to tuck your tail and watch him work.. He would just flat out embarrass you and the dogs you brought down to hunt with Jesse!! Sorry to hear the bad news man.

Usually he was the main dog it seems.
Hate to hear of anyone losing a GOOD dog. Contrary to popular belief, they are hard to come by! Hopefully one of his pups will step up and fill his shoes one day. Good luck!
