hey guys what is the best bloodline of cathoulas if i wanted to get a pup? an who could i get one off of? thanks yall

thats like asking whats best line of vehicle, chevy, dodge, ford, toyota, nissan and so on, then which dealership is best to get it from.
Youa re going to get alot of different opinions.

Hers the BEST ANSWER I HAVE THE BEST CATAHOULAS.... but they ain't as good as my Ugly Dogs, or the Amerigos. Oh wait what are you wanting them to be the "BEST" at? eating porkchops? then mine are definately the best!

you see what I am getting at? its an opinion question, I know what I like in a dog and where to get a dog I like, but thats not to say that dog is not BEST for you.

I have an ad on here from 7/19 about a NAlC Reg. Catahoula pup i have available, she's 11wks, red leopard, call me to talk about bloodlines,etc. Catahoulas.

I have some catahoula pups outta the Abney and Two Diamonds Bloodlines for sale, I believe some of the best catahoula bloodlines are( Not Neccesarily in this order)

I have never owned any out of Blue Sky or Monahans but have hear they are good as well. It depends on what you are wanting them for

peachcreek has sum pups for sale on here i believe, diamond cutter i think or somethin like that,.. he was tellin me about them but i really wasnt payin attention ;D  idk much about the catahoula bloodlines

yeah my female goes back to Two Diamonds Cutter,I havent bought any from Peach Creek but have heard good things

My bloodlines are mainly "Blue Sky's" and "Camp-A-While's". Soon to be adding "Abney's" in the near future. I agree with the above, it's what your going to be using them for, although that's what Catahoulas are known for the most versitle dog, they can hunt anything from squirrel to bear, most well known for wild hogs; and herd anything from sheep/goats to horses, most well known for wild cattle. As well as used in search and rescue, blood trail tracking, and family guardian.

Texas Mason Catahoulas, but i also like mikes dog tweety she has a good bloodline also.

We breed to the top of the size standard with our females being close to 70 pounds and males  some have topped a 100
gritty and catchy  as all get up.
Our Blood lines go back to Lee's,Adens,Double Ott, track all the way back to Top Hand and Snickers  and they have Panheads,Crossfire in the mix also

Do plenty of research before you jump in (same can be said for any breed). Go hunt with several dogs out of the different lines to figure out which one suits you. I know what I like and where I'd go to get it...I can count them on one hand.

like them pups alot, i like them blue leapord dogs!

i heard the dennison bloodline is good

In Bama we like the dennison dogs. longer range, colder nose, grit seems to vary. overall good dogs. Mine are just fractions of dennisons . (of dennsions stock) would be more accurate.

I have no idea in hell what my two are, but they'll work a hog and have their place in the pack.  I wouldn't get too hung up on the breeding as long as the dog and its parents hunt.

the consistancy lies within the line breeding. Anyone can get good dogs from good dogs. I hope to get good dogs more frequently. But each to their own. Thats what makes the world go around.

I hear about somebody new selling "Dennison" dogs just about every week now for big money.. Must be another line of Dennison dogs somewhere because there are only about 20 pure bred ones left out of the ones we breed and I own 3 of them. And I know where just about all the others are..
Like Scott said do your research, especially if you go to lookin for a "Dennison" dog. They seem to be the flavor of the month for dog jockeys...

I like wager catahoulas he has been breeding them for 50 plus years long line of dogs some are berry gritty and some just hold a bay good. Lots of nose they started out just using them for cow dogs but they make great hog dogs. Jmo
