Title: Question
Post by: Gregg on December 22, 2007, 06:08:22 pm
What about the meat from sows tht wer killed while in heat. I have been told the meat will smell like a boar when cooking. The sow is swinging in the breeze right now at my buddies house.

dont know but you can cut off a piece and fry it. Youll know if its good or not. Also works on boar hogs.

We have a freezer full of pork from both boars and sows. We don't cook it inside, rather to do it outside on the pit. Bet you can't tell which is which once it is marinated in Italian Dressing and rubbed with Montreal Steak Seasoning. I'm funny about off flavored things and I can't tell myself.

Good Luck!

I've never had any trouble either way. But, maybe I haven't shot any that were in heat. I never really noticed before and I've shot a bunch of them.
