Title: Good few hours Post by: Outback Catahoulas Austra on October 16, 2011, 06:15:52 pm Went to one of my blocks to check out some more country i hadn't hunted yet. Got the word from the manager that a few poachers have been in a few spots. So trails cams got loaded & set whilst out there!
Was a good few hours hunting. Bagged 10 or so good quality boars. Nothing under 80+kg live weight. Got a few smaller sows which was late in the hunt, so the pups finally got a look at a few on the ground also... We just sat back & quietly watched while we waited for the dogs to pin point his scent trail....One of those rare occasions where you get to see it all pan out from the jump a few hundred mtrs back, we then just rode slowly waiting for the dogs to work the scent & hit up. We spotted him sleeping before the dogs located him....Was great watching them slowly edge closer until hit up!
