Title: Age for retirement Post by: jmize on December 07, 2011, 08:20:32 am I have a dog that has taken quite a few cuts and has alot of scar tissue. He is kinda stiff some times. I was just wondering what the average age is for retirement of hog dogs.

Had some at 8 had some at 12 just depends on the dog.

For example, we have a loose baying 5 year old who is very spry and athletic and then we have a rough 3 year old who gets pretty stove up and achy after a hunt. We will probably retire the younger of the two first. Go to entirelypets.com and order Joint Max Triple Strength Soft Chews and a bottle of Vita-tabs for senior dogs. My dog used to not want to get out the box after a hunt and this stuff made a great difference!
