Title: Re: Phi Slamma Jamma Post by: aladatrot on March 09, 2009, 11:35:49 am We were at the elementary school for "Rodeo Day". We brought a horse, a sheep, and a sheepdog to let the kids have some hands on experience with why we even have rodeos (it all started with ranch chores). Anyway, Chris rounded the block horseback while we were waiting for the kids to come out. Got some other really cool pics too....
However, I believe this to be the photo you requested: (http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee228/aladatrot/chrisdunk2.jpg) More pics (http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee228/aladatrot/lenaboot.jpg) (http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee228/aladatrot/touched.jpg) (http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee228/aladatrot/cowgirl.jpg) (http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee228/aladatrot/teachers.jpg) (http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee228/aladatrot/everythingsok.jpg) (http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee228/aladatrot/cowgirlinskirt.jpg) Title: Re: Phi Slamma Jamma Post by: matt_aggie04 on March 09, 2009, 12:10:01 pm Mandi.....your new camera is da chit !!!!

Title: Re: Phi Slamma Jamma Post by: aladatrot on March 10, 2009, 12:03:26 pm JLS,
I'm certainly no photographer, but that camera takes up some serious slack! I'm learning more how to use it, and getting a little more thoughtful about my shots. As you can tell, I like the pictures that capture a moment and are less a bout WHO is in the picture. I love the kiddo touching the horse for the first time. The dog photos are a lot of fun, but it takes about 200 snapshots to end up with one that I like once I'm done cropping and adding the effects. This is way too fun for someone as talent-less as I am! Cheers M Title: Re: Phi Slamma Jamma Post by: jls41 on March 10, 2009, 12:47:20 pm Well, one day when I get mine, I'll have to come down and take lessons!!! You give this "talent-less" wannabe some hope then. I am with you - I really like the ones that capture the moment - those are my favorite!! Keep posting them up!!! Maybe they need a photography section on here.... ;) ;D

You need to come on another hunt soon and you can play with it! It's a Nikon D60, a step below what Julie uses for her hunting photos. It's way neat to use because you can sit there and snap pics with very little delay. I love the camera, and it has opened my eyes to the world of photography! Cheers and come on out ! M |
