Title: Good hunt in Mallory swamp Post by: Tye1201 on January 21, 2012, 06:22:45 pm Went out to Mallory swamp yesterday with bj, Jesse,and Adam. Searched for a track and found a good one. Put bufford and Ben on the ground. They were hot on it so we put out Dempsey. Worked for about 30 minutes and bayed up 1.5 miles from us. Went to the bay and had to walk that far. Got about 100 yards from them and was in pines. Went in there and saw the hog sent hank the catch dog in there and he locked on the ear with bufford. Dempsey had the butt and I legged it and dad stabbed it. Caught our breath and it was a boar hog with nice teeth.

We hunted it the 1st weekend of small game and it was so dry and dusty. It seems like the place goes from one extreme to another, it's either canals on both sides of the road or it's bone dryat least mallory isn't full of water this year.
