Title: RIP Jessie Post by: Silverton Boar Dogs on January 30, 2012, 01:15:37 pm Jessie died in his sleep last night. He was by far the best pure long range hog dog I have ever hunted with. A great hunting dog and a great sire. My hunting partners would always cringe when I loaded him on the truck for a hunt. You were committed when he hit the ground, he was going to take you to hogs whether you could keep up or not. I have spent countless nights asleep in my truck, parked on the edge of a canyon waiting for him to come home, and he always did. I miss my old friend more than I can say. Sad day around these parts.

He had slowed down this last year but had been in good health. His last hunt was about 30 days ago and this fall he was still tracking hogs for miles after the young dogs fell out. Hope you got lots of young Jessie's to help the hurt .
