Title: If it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all
Post by: djhogdogger on January 31, 2012, 05:01:45 pm

Dang it! I have the worst luck. I just heard the dogs barking and then I heard a loud bang. I got up to look outside and saw that our neighbors horse had got loose, came up my driveway, and then spooked and kicked a big dent in the side of my jeep grand cherokee!  >:(  Its an older car so I have liability ins on it. This sucks.  :(

Im sorry. I know that there are a lot worse problems in the world besides a dent in my jeep. I just had to vent to someone.

You must be a real good neighbor, cause I'd make them pay to get it fixed.

Trust me, it would cost me more in court fees. The reason the horse is loose is because they cant afford to fix the fence or feed the horse.

Thats pretty much my attitude about it. I will just suck it up and move on. Im just glad it wasn't any higher up or it would have taken out my back window.  :o

DJ,
Dont feel bad that is a small dent, I backed into my wifes car door about 3 weeks ago and it looks alot worse than that. At least that horse dont get to hear ya bitching at it like I get to hear.

Not to knock Halfbreed in any way, but I have been doing body work for 12yrs and painless dent repair for two.  That's a pretty sharp dent, And most likely you won't knock that out from the backside without cracking paint, especially on that body line. And it been a while since I  have done a quarter panel on an older jeep, but most likely there is going to be inner structure in the way anyways. If it were me and I know the neighbor won't pay, I would just be happy with the fact that it didn't get the glass.

Me and a buddy broke the back glass out of my dodge the same way last month.

Question? Has the paint started to come off the hood and the roof yet? If it hasn't then count your blessings. Seems the jeeps have something wrong with their paint... Had a 1996 that just started tearing away and kept on going, and now the 2008 we have is starting to look like it will do it as well. Hope you don't have this issue with yours.  ;D
