It really bugs me when I see a post under the dog trade about owners selling/traiding dogs that obviously need vet care or need to be retired.  When you take on a dog it is your responsiblity for the rest of its life.  You don't get rid of it because it is broken.  And shame on you for wanting to sell your problem to the next guy.  Don't try to sugar coat the dogs abilities either.  If he is what you say he is why do you want to get ride of him?

Nobody wants your 3 legged dog.  You need a spanking!!!

Sorry just needed to vent.  Does anyone else feel this way?

Yes mam, you are more then correct if the dog does not hunt and if he could barely get around I should and would retire him. But I have seen a few three legged dogs that will hunt they're butts off on three legs and he's one of them lol. I don't take any offense to your venting I really don't. Only reason I am selling is my young dogs are following the lead of my gyp and she gets out a .5mile out of the box. He is more short to medium range and gets himself and my rcd in binds when he strikes a hog in between me and my young dogs that are to far away and fresh in the woods to go a half a mile to the bay then I end up with a rcd and him caught on a hog which is not what I want. He would fit someone with less rangy dogs great and will even tell on dogs that are screwing up. Good as gold for a hunter with trashy dogs and a shock collar ;D. Im actually setting up a humt for his future owner with him.he will find hogs and keep on rolling out if they're are more with them. He lives to do one thing, loves it and is still good at it only difference is he uses 3 legs instead of four and I wouldn't recommend him to someone hunting endless swamps or marshes as swimming for long periods could prove difficult. Anyhow, I just wanted to explain more about him and let you know that you offended no one by posting it...except the dog  ;) like you said you're venting...

SC you are trip! LOL! Welcome lil miss! I'd say you're deff not scared to say how you feel. LOL! I have a 3 legged dog, that will be back in the woods in a month or so... but i'll never get rid of him! They still deserve a chance to be in the woods if they can still get around good. JMO!

I'm mainly posting so this will keep popping up in my replies to my posts. But I do have an opinion... the dog trade has been talked about and talked about on here. Some people are shady dog peddlers and others are as honest as they come...with that said if you don't like something you see in the dog trade then don't call em. If they r doing something wrong the moderators will correct it I'm sure. If not it ain't my board and I don't call anyone in the dogtrade unless I like what I read. Other than that its their business not mine. As for you venting on your first or second post... vent whenever you want. Ill probly read it like others will. But some advice if you care to take it... a lot of these people have been on here and in the woods for years.some longer than I've been alive and are stuck in their ways and aren't too fond of what to them looks like a youngin speaking out so boldly right off. So be ready to take some crape from em till they get to know you and you earn their respect. And some advice don't get mad at these people and blow up or fire back rudely. You sure it's worth it? She could be packing quite the punch ;D

My buddy had one and she could still find and bay them just fine took her to bremond bay and she caught out lol.  She was a hair slower and not as much bottom but if there was a hog around she would find it was a durn good puppy trainer.

 watch it , she barks loud and swings a big STICK!!! ..... lol
